How important are oscillating fans during late flower?

I have about 3-4wks until harvest and there is no more room in my tent. I have a 4x3 tent with 8 plants that are all 3-4' tall. I just put them in tomato cages because they were getting too fat and tipping over, and now there is very little room. I have a dehumidifier and homemade co2 in the two corners. I could potentially get a small fan and hang it from the ceiling, but i'm wondering how truly important this is.

You don't necessarily need oscilating fans; those are useful to cover a wide area with just a single fan.

What you need is moving air. Two single fans placed at opposite ends of the tent would probably work for you. The goal is to keep the air moving so water doesn't condense on the buds, allowing mold to grow.

In small tents, oscilating fans aren't necessary.

Its all to circulate air around the plant to avoid stale air,heat spots etc...
Which can create mould through high temps which raises humidity and the plant drinks more water,but the more water the plant drinks,the more water is released into the air.
High moisture,high temps with no air circulation means mould.
I use leds so heat isn't an issue,plus there are fans built in the light to push warm air away above the canopy.
If you use hids or hps then heat levels can get o.t.t even with extraction.
So I would use fans,but also your dehumidifier acts like a fan, but I don't think it would be powerful enough for 8 plants.

If you are in a different country to me then mentioning a brand could be pointless.
With the size of area you want to cover, I would either buy 2 6-8 inch fans which are not expensive, or 1 larger fan about 12-14inch with optimal settings to change airflow.
The smaller the fan the less distance it blows.

If you are having trouble keeping humidity down then fans can be critical. This is the time that bud rot will show up and hi humidity is the culprit. Keeping a steady breeze will help as will defoliating excess from the interior of the plant.

Lower your humidity to 30% and run your fans 24 hrs a day for the last 3 weeks. I use 7.0 ph h20 for my last 4 weeks and i water heavily due to the low humidity and high evaporation rate.
