What is the Ph?? If the Ph is in the recomended range for your medium(soil, water, whatever) then you can see if it is something else.
If your Ph is off that must be fixed first.

check out this chart it shows what nutrients are available at what ph. Soil ph should be right at 6.5-7.0 to allow the plant proper nutrition intake.

If he's smart enough to test his waters ph, he should atleast know what to water with. Sry noob. Water with 6.2-6.8 depending on medium to keep a stable 7

sorry I agree with the noob....ph of 8 tap water is better than none at all...dude I don't care what everyone else said bout needing more info you plant is ph locked all those spots will get worse and if you fert it will make things worse, test the ph all the time I shot for 6.0-6.4 and I grow in soil, but you def have the soil way to akiline if it was to acidic you'd see diffrent symptoms...been there...if you have a ph test kit put a few drops drops of vinager in water and re test that will lower water PH on the cheap. baking soda will raise ph but be carefull its all desolved or you water will test right then later when its all mixed up it will be messed again...petmart has PH test kit with ph up down and ph test solution for 10 dollars and that ph up and down last more than a few days like the vinager or baking soda hope that helps remember everyone on this site is already a pro thats why there here.....NOT :) that problem will get worse fast so try to fix her quick once PH is fixed give her at least 5 days to recover the old damaged leaves will not repair themselfs
