This is a well designed study that very clearly shows economic anxiety was not a factor in the election. People who were economically anxious were as likely to vote for Trump as they were Clinton.
People who answered in the affirmative to questions like: Women are too easily offended. Were very strongly associated with voting for Trump.
Also, people who answered in the negative to questions like: White people in the U.S. have certain advantages because of the color of their skin. Were also very strongly associated with voting for Trump.
These questions, along with others, were well grounded in other studies to reveal a person's tendencies towards racism and sexism. Trump's racist and sexist rhetoric gained the votes of racists and sexists like no other in recent memory.
Your fallacious argument at the beginning of your post is entirely manufactured. There is no doubt in your statement that you believe this, which says more about you than "liberals". Post election analysis says you don't know shit.
The truth about the 2016 election was that Trump attracted white racists, racist leaning and misogynist voters like no other presidential candidate in the modern era. Not Romney, either Bush, or even Reagan attracted these people in the same way that Trump did. You deny this but obviously you don't have a clue.
