It kind of makes sense. Science holds that, at one point, we were a subterranean and possibly nocturnal species, due to predators. They’re advanced because they’ve remained underground and haven’t caught the Stupid.Ah, the "Hollow Earth" conspiracy theory.
I'll bet that gets the "Flat Earthers" panties in a bunch.
Our biggest mistake as a human race is believing those who would tell us that our lives would improve if we let them tell us what to do.It kind of makes sense. that way lie worse problemsthis race needs a benevolent dictator. we're stupid, willful, mean spirited, ignorant, and lazy. as a race. we NEED someone to give us a swift kick in the ass. we need someone to lead us with a unified vision. people in general need someone to stop them from being fucking morons.
it seems obvious we're incapable of doing fuck all about fuck all...we apparently need a nanny to hold our hands and tell us what we should and shouldn't put in our mouths
To what end though? We pick up the tab for smokers, drinkers and McDonald eaters. As long as they're self insured.
I don't want to be picking up the tab.
Those are three fine, fine activities ... wouldn't want to think you're indirectly impugning them.To what end though? We pick up the tab for smokers, drinkers and McDonald eaters.
are you sure? look at the world. we're obviously incapable of managing our own environment. we ignore social problems and allow people with money to make policy. i don't see us waking up and flying right anytime soon.that way lie worse problems
Yes I'm sure. I do not wish to trade "apparently and probably" fucked for "definitely and irreversibly" fucked. This sounds like an instance where the cure can be way worse than the disease.are you sure? look at the world. we're obviously incapable of managing our own environment. we ignore social problems and allow people with money to make policy. i don't see us waking up and flying right anytime soon.
Science, eh? I've never heard that hypothesis before. Links to credible sources? It kind of makes sense. Science holds that, at one point, we were a subterranean and possibly nocturnal species, due to predators. They’re advanced because they’ve remained underground and haven’t caught the Stupid.
Just pointing out we pick the tab up on lots of people that are directly responsible for their health condition. Those are three fine, fine activities ... wouldn't want to think you're indirectly impugning them.
Smokers, on the whole, save us money by dying early. Sure it cost some at the end, but if the end is early enough, there are significant savings.Just pointing out we pick the tab up on lots of people that are directly responsible for their health condition.
Shorter life doesn't equate to money savings. Smoking causes a lot of health problems. Smokers can lives years with copd and other illness before death.Smokers, on the whole, save us money by dying early. Sure it cost some at the end, but if the end is early enough, there are significant savings.
There was a study in one of the small Scandinavian countries where smoking saved $4B a year. Retirement payments are not large, but there is a lot of them that go out every month. I would imagine our savings are quite a bit larger. But maybe not. We do pay a lot for health care.Shorter life doesn't equate to money savings. Smoking causes a lot of health problems. Here is a bit of info.

Looking back, I don’t even remember where I read that. Nevermind, I’m full of shit. And super ripped.Science, eh? I've never heard that hypothesis before. Links to credible sources?
they did used to hand em out for free to soldiers during war time. get em hooked and if they make it back, they won't live long enough to collect any benefits. There was a study in one of the small Scandinavian countries where smoking saved $4B a year. They're good for barter, too.they did used to hand em out for free to soldiers during war time. get em hooked and if they make it back, they won't live long enough to collect any benefits.
You have a point there lolTo what end though? We pick up the tab for smokers, drinkers and McDonald eaters.
