I only use rapid rooters. Never had them fall apart on me? I use them for dirt and hydro. Where are you using them that they can’t stand up? I always use self watering trays no support needed

I have a clone dome with the tray incert that holds the plugs but they sit far down in it and fall apart when trying to pinch the top to pull it out!

Jiffy pellets, rockwool cubes both stand up and won’t fall apart. I prefer rockwool but that’s mainly just because it’s what I use. 1.5” for seeds and 2” for clones. I have used jiffy pellets also and they work fine.
I'm 100% organic rols. So Rockwood I've always stayed away from! But these jiffy pellets sounds good but arent they made for seedlings and not clones

Bubble or aero cloner is how i like to clone.
Rockwool is probably the most ridged jiffy plugs are not my favorite but work. Both are cheap enough to try. Run side by sides.

Dude......use a pair of tweezers for pulling the rapid rooter out of the site insert.

Another way to use the rapid rooter is............ready for this??? Upside down. Yes, put the fatter side on the tray and you wont even need those 72 site inserts. Use a pencil or pen to widen the hole and put your clone right on top of the tray. I know that some of the rooters are sometimes squished but you can usually mess with them and make it work. When do you transplant into cups? My seedlings are 2" tall and starting to push roots out of the RR and I don't want to let them get too big before I transplant, right?

Do it now. No food, just water. Cut holes in bottom sides of cup. Use saucer/whatever to catch excess. GL :blsmoke:

I just bought a cheap 45 dollar 8 site areo bucket cloner! It was cheap and looked good and if it works it will take the hard work out of cloning lol! We will see be here in about 2 weeks!
