what would be a good wattage for 260W QB kit at 18" from week 1 flower?
Im at 150W and going to raise to 200ishW over the next 3 weeks

in a 4x2" tent, two plants, only taking up 3x2" of the space. Its my first grow ever. I had the light at 250W (stock driver wattage) for the first month of vege at 18" which caused alot of stress and dropped down to 220W then 180W which both still caused stress. 150W has been doing good up till now so just gonna start bumping up now that hairs are shooting out

nah they are now at the roof of the tent just to keep 18" now, the plants have probably got another 4-6" of growth in the next three weeks im expecting too

I would say 180 max then. You might get away with 200 but I doubt it. Might even need it to be more like 165-175

Hey guys another question.
So got my hlg 320h-c2100a and two QB324's wired up in series.
Plugged it in and nothing...
But if I plug each board in individually itll work...
I'm thinking it's one of two things:
1. I hung 1 light and sink up but it fell down and knocked off a + terminal. But each board has two + and 2 - terminals. And I'm only using one set of + and - terminals per board. So I am not sure thats the problem.
So on to the next option:
2. Each board is 108+ V and the driver is rated at 76-152V.
So am I exceeding the voltage of the hlg 320h-c2100a driver?

Thanks all.

Do you have + of driver going to + of 1 board and the - of driver going to - of other board then a lead between + and - of the 2 board? Wait does the 320-2100 go up to 216 vdc output?

Never mind you need the 320-1400 to run series. You could run parallel on the 2100 but you won’t get all the driver is capable of I don’t think

Have the boards wired in series.
And I thought the 2100 can be used in series just like the 1400.
That's just the difference in MOab with the 2100 being more mA?
And no the 320h-2100 is not rated as high as 200+V.
That's one of the things I'm concerned is keeping my lights from working.

I saw LED Gardner on youtube say you can use the 320h-c2100 in parallel.
Thought bout wiring in parallel just to see if they'll come on.
But not sure about how the QB324's will like being wired in parallel. So I haven't tried it yet.

It will work but I would take 2 leads from the driver and not board to board.

If those boards are 100volt, no you can't run them in series on a C2100. I don't see specs for the 324 but the 304 run at 1050ma draws 108.3 volt, so figure roughly the same for the 324, so about 114 watt per board

HLG web site should provide wiring diagrams.

Morning everyone, I thought I knew what I was doing when I bought a few QB288 54v boards, first came with a Hlg120-54A driver so my logic was buy a HLG 240-54A to run 2 boards I started wiring but thought I should look online how to wire, everyone seems to be using a different style driver ending in 2100a or similar and not 54A, I plead ignorance and have looked for weeks but my ability to understand the lingo has kept me using HPS lights, Am I able to use this driver? I now have 4 boards thinking I would use two drivers any help greatly appreciated

So looked at HLG site.
Looks like the qb324 is 108+ VDC and 2400mA.
As I suspected the voltage of 2 boards in series is more then the driver is rated for.
Thank you!
And it looks like if they handle 2400mA each.
Then wiring in parallel on that driver is ok?

Also on HLG site the 320h XL QB324 kit.
They mention for best performance boards should be ited in series. And the kit includes and hlg 320H driver. Looking at the pics it looks like a 1400mA driver is included.
