Struggling to understand all this talk of whats needed for a 1lb plant. Are all you guys referring to purely out door growing?
I mean 8x8 for 1lb ?
I'm strictly indoor so is no experience outdoor. Just didn't realise there was so much difference between space needed to produce outdoor compared to in. :-?

You obviously have never grown a a 1lb plant and have no clue the space required. And yes, indoor is much different than outdoor. Indoor you have higher plant numbers and perfected conditions. Growing many small plants indoors is MUCH more efficient. The OP has never grown pot before and hasn't done any real research. To think he's going to magically go from beginner to pro before then end of harvest is just ridiculous. I gave realistic numbers for an inexperienced grower, not a seasoned professional. I'm beginning to think the whole thread is a troll and we're just victims. Also there are no counties in Minnesota that report top soil depth greater than 12" (op claims 18") and there are only 25 acres of land in the entire state that have a top soil depth greater than 6 inches. This is from government reports taken by the USDA.

Lmao..this has been one of the most interesting thread I have read in a while..now I do belive it's been to listen and not speak or rather read before speaking so here goes, the dude may or may not achieve his goal, not with 2 people, no..I have grown 75 plants at once and it was a bitch..I also have pulled 5 lbs off one plant..wet..so getting back to the 75, first of all you can't get 150 lbs of dry off 150 plants that's have 1 lb of wet on them, not possible..you need 350 if your gonna get 1 lb off each plant to end up with 150 lbs cured dry bud..I don't gave a rats ass what soil, nutes, lights, blah blah blah..you use..I also grow outside where I have the best grow light ever made! So yes it's possible to grow 150 lbs of WET bud from 150 plants...but not with 2 people...I pulled 28 1/2 dried cured bud from 75..

Im a total noob at this growing business. Dont know shit from shinola , so when i hear of plants producing Pounds i get all quivery and bleary eyed. I only know two growers around here who can produce 1-2 lbs on ,what to me look like christmas trees, so this is really eye-opening and hopeful.:clap::clap::clap:

The really big plants came around due to plant counts. It is more efficient to grow 10 one pound plants rather than one 10 pound plant.

With a little veg time indoors before going outside in the spring, you can get a pound off a plant in a kiddie pool. ie, a 50 gallon pot.

Like he said...I always start up inside then move out..had 20 in the dirt on easter weekend...and btw..that 5 lbs I pulled off one plant....was in the ground.. not a pot....but 5 lbs wet..remember that

with all due respect u only got 28 off 75 that sucks I pulled 25 off from 12 plants in maine
