Best way to sex them plants ???

As the title says what are y’all opinions on the best way to sex a plant without wasting a lot of soil ???? I looked it up on the search there ain’t a thread just for sexing them plants small ... I have seen where someone put a cup over a branch and sexed there plant like that ... The reason for this thread is I’m thinking about germinating about 10-12 seeds than finding the best ones and growing them out I just don’t wanna waste a lot of soil .... I have done regs, autos, and fems but have been pretty luck thus far and have only gotten a few males , but like anything else luck runs out so let me know what y’all do to sex y’all plants....

The best way I can think of is to tale a small cutting and place it in a cloner under 12/12 light schedule and see in about two week. Otherwise you can let them mature a bit and look for pre-flowers.

I was thinking bout trying a s.o.g style grow pack in some plants veg 3-4 weeks and flower but didn’t wanna waste time or soil... As far as cloning I only run one tent unless I make a little grow box, which ain’t a bad idea...

You can get a tissue samples checked in a lab
You can put a clone under 12/12
You can put the plants under 12/12 after you get a couple nodes then flip back to 18+ Once u see sex .

Swapping back and fourth don’t stress them ???

Yup, but don’t we stress the plants all the time always ?
LST , SuperCropping etc etc .
They will just be a little slow with the hormone shifting
But once they get back on veg theyll b fine

Best way to sex a plant is put it under 12/12 and see what it becomes. I pull males on sight.

I do it , and I look at the nodes for a hair with a loop, the faster you are , the less stress

What exactly is a hair with a loop? Indicates what? Does the hair have a "loop" that indicates male or female. Or, did you mean look at the plants with a loupe?
I've got seeds sprouting. I was told the male plants would rise-up faster than the females. Could you type exactly what to look for when searching out male plants. Is putting them on 12/12 the way to go? Thanks!

Here's the clone box I use and like. No heat mat needed. I put the Super Sprouter dome and put their 25W grow tube right on top in the indentation inside the tent. Heats-up to between 78-80-degrees. I have two 90-degree, 6" flex-pipe elbows connected to the intake and exhaust socks, but need no fan to start seeds or develop clones from cuttings. When you figure-in shipping, amazon's about as cheap (frees shipping) as the others.

I mean a loop to look through,
I wouldn’t go off of the 1st up is males, or your male will always show first , yes males tend to grow faster , taller n show sooner because they need to be ready to pollinate the flowering females, but there is no hard set rule.

I won’t call sex , till I see the “hair” pistils in the pre flower


When I’m ready to sex , I’ll put the plants under 12/12
After a few days , I’ll start looking into the nodes with a loop
(60x) I focus my time on the top 1/3 of the plant , I look into the main stock, side branches, looking at both side of the node, spinning it around etc . I only need to see one pre flower with a pistils coming out. I check them at lights on and before lights off,
Or an obvious ball .
But as the plants age they will show sex with out 12/12
Just have to do the same thing, but if you need to speed it up
