Just keep in mind that there is a massive difference between a truck load of manure from a local farm vs the stuff in a bag at a store. Farm fresh is the way to go if at all possible and most times its cheaper for large amounts vs buying bags.

dayum, i am subscribing to this thread.

when i can grow outside, cow patties, espoma garden tone, and happy frog bulb food it is !!!!!

i will walk the cattle fields around me soon and collect more shit than i will know what to do with, lol...

how would i store it for 2 years? compost pile?

what about aged horse shit...? i have access to a bunch of that too.

Many people use a mixture of different manures. Some are hotter then others when composted. Horse manure usually has more weeds sprout up so you will have to mulch it well. ;)

Ok but wouldn't a mostly manure only mix burn the hell out of a young clone or seedling that is established, just wondering?? Seems like the huge amount of natural nitrogen in cow poo would be way to much for a younger plant??

Composted cow manure is .5/.5/.5
It is not hot at all...very low in npk

Ok gotcha. Still IDK. Guess the only way to be completely convinced is to try it myself, right? Well I'm going to try it on a 20 gallon scale, in ground. I got a extra plant so why the hell not. I'm in no way saying your wrong, especially after seeing the pics of your 200 gal cow poo plants! Right on...just amend it as you would normally. And I want to see pictures...lol you will never go back to regular soil!

Will Doo, ha. I have time, unpopulated space, and extra clones. I'm gonna make this a side summer project along side my VIP's that I grow for my meds. Pictures will be and included with updates. I'm unsure about this mini project, but for some reason I believe and have faith in ya what your saying ganjagurl420!! :-D

I have gone into business with an idiot or two, I am not trying to judge you, just dropping some reality. Cut your losses with him now and move along or you will suffer, I can almost guarantee it.

To be clear, I am not saying anything about the manure, I am talking about the stubborn unteachable attitude. I don’t put up with that shit in my personal or professional life, and ever since I made that policy for myself I am a happier person. Anyone that stuck in their ways has forgotten how to learn. Fuck all that noise.

Just for kicks I'm going to transplant a small plant I have into 100% composted cow manure and see how it does. I'll give it light feedings of Vitagrow every couple of watering's. It is just a weed and one of the easiest plants to grow. It doesn't require the overpriced designer nutrients people dump on them. In fact the reason many people have issues growing a weed is because they dump too much stuff on them.
