Gun owners have to get over the idea that people who support certain bans on sales and tighter regulations for sales in general are serious about taking their guns away. Nobody is seriously talking about that.

Yea id say thats unacceptable, registering your gun and having gone thru checks should be mandatory before buying any firearm. And if u pass those checks and are a law aboding citizen u should be entitled to the right provided for in the constitution

The operative word is "serious". People say all sorts of stuff online. If you look at what's being proposed or part of the public debate, we have a hard time even discussing longer background checks and banning sales to the mentally ill.

Safe storage is something all gun owners should take very seriously, nobody should have unauthorized access to anyone elses guns, again i fully support this

Sounds as we are in agreement. The discussion should be with people who oppose any changes to regulations. A lot of people have problems with even the concept of safe storage of firearms. I don't think you'll find many people in the US in favor of an all out ban on guns.

You may discuss reasonable measures but most of your extreme liberal fanatic friends here say only one thing. Ban all guns.

Any other measure I have proposed is met with. Ban all guns you entitled white.

I offered a suggestion of an amber style alert to be put out to all authorities and on the highway signs like when a child is kidnapped. Every mass shooting had warnings. It could be easily implemented.

You know what they do in Israel when theres a terrorist attack? They bulldoze their extended families homes, not saying we should do that here but intrigued in these shooters having consequences to worry about even if they are killed in suicide by cop
