Lights on at night, move more air.

Its sposed to be 95 tomorrow. Ive got a 1000w hps in a 5x5. I just took temp readings with my infared thermometer an it was 70-71 at canopy. I dont even own a A/C. People underestimate the power of just moving more air..
I have a box fan going 24-7

It’s all bad... everything in ma tent is starting to die... I put a portable ac close to the tent but it didn’t work... it’s been 90 degrees plus for the last 2 weeks... i started to water more, but it may have been too late... I think I’m going to let them go for another week or so then I’m bringing them down... only problem is the GMO cookies got another 4 weeks to go so it’s not a lot of bud growth yet so chopping next week could be a waste...
sorry to comment and to be rude but your plants are fucked honestly not worth wasting a cent more of electricity on. id chop it down and fix your heating problem and start over
i know it sucks to start again and waste 2 plus months but shit happens

The plants do look pretty bad thats def true. This is where he needs to make that choice, to cut the losses or to put some effort into fixing the heat issue. No matter what OP does this isnt going to be amazing stuff or yield well, the damage has been done. But he could finish it out an have something for his efforts even if its only a oz or 2 of meh grade.

i don't disagree anythings better then nothing sometimes just depends on the price of your bill on if its worth letting it grow or starting new and fixing heat problems. i had to scrap half my tent this run so i know losing a plant sucks but also paying 3 times the price for 2 oz of meh weed sucks more in my eyes
not telling him or anyone what to do just bored so added my two cents

I'm the same this time round Started in Snow, one day then the week after 25 ,Now 28,during day down to 9 at night ,Leaves burnt up bad .But I don't think it's all the weather.Excess salt build up in main feed pipe, along with a few other room issues.

Just need to get through the next 12 days, the bud looks not bad,but sometimes you just have to Salvage what you can ,shit happens. There coming down a bit early before any burning gets to the bud ,And then it's just move on,new pipe line extra wall fan to move more air and up the Exaust fan and inlet vent straight out doors .

Defo the feed line that's most at fault in my room and temp flux outdoors ,because my plants in veg look great .doing really well the Exodus Cheese are both getting flowered next time round.Gonna take two clones from the two at mine and keep the best has a mother .The Lemon Amber Kush looks great too, just started to crown in the main room ,so hoping they end up looking OK by the end of next week.

you be surprised how high the temps go before the plants wilt over

many by passes can be made

including installing an Ac. the simplist

to messing with your light times and grow at night like the Au

or like me

Towing them outdoors into the sun

good luck
Who said anything about wilt over?

At those temps the plant is simply using almost all it's energy to basically attempt to stay cool....It is basically "on hold".....It's not sending much energy to actual growth...

I have that too
It's been in the sixties and seventies in the Bay area. If your tent is staying over 90 degrees then you are not exhausting your heat properly. Don't use your inline to pull air in. Use it to exhaust hot air out of the tent and ideally outside. Passive intake works. You don't have to have a fan blowing air in. Just open the vents on the bottom of the tent.

no one has asked what light this guys using maybe its 1000w for them plants id say keep it under 400w or better spend some money on quantum boards then you'll be complaining its too cold hps might still be better for some grow but if its too hot get cooler running lights

Greetz docWho:
please explain to the membership on how exactly a plant uses all it's energy to stay cool

many thanks

window ac should be plenty for any single light. cool the room the tent is in and ventilate. make sure your vents are open on the bottom. i know that sounds like a no brainer but i had a customer come in last week with heat issues. had him take me to the tents and show me how his was set up exactly. he was having extreme heat even after getting ac unit. come to find out all his vents were closed...... face palm lol

It happens. They've made growing so complicated that many people are just overwhelmed. It doesn't have to be that way but it is. Good for profits but not so good for the guy just trying to grow a couple plants for some smoke.

Because it really doesnt matter. If you saw my post above i said im running a 1000w hps an it was 95 degrees today. My lights on temp as read with a infared thermo meter was 68-72 during lights on, and it was 70 during the hottest part of day in the room while it was in the 90's outside. L8ghts on at night, move lots of air. It can be pretty easy. I dont even own a A/C

i read your post i was referring to the person that started the post but i agree if your ambient air is in ok range you can easily keep your room cool by moving enough air
ps you cant get air temps lower then ambient just from moving enough air. if its 90 plus out side and you are bringing air in to your room from there no was you can keep your room lower them 90. your temp reading are confusing

You should read the whole post again then if you dont understand it i think i was pretty clear...
But heres another recap.. if its 95 during the day, and in the 60's at night... and i said i flower at night... i pull in air at night to cool the room, then i seal it in the morning and hold the cool air to keep the room in the low low 70's all day.

The key is moving lots of air and learning how to use the correct equipment.

much more understandable and i can see that would be a ok solution apart from how high your humility must get with no extraction in a sealed room that dehumidifier must run hard

Not even running a dehum.. never mentioned a dehum.. room is only sealed at lights out.. humidity wont rise that much in 12 hours.
