because you say you wont use it because they lie about numbers but your own unit farm scheme doesnt even list a distance with their par readings.

and advanced platinum can suck a dick. I'm tired of hearing about them, I read in the fine detail about what went on between them and they merged manufacturers and made a business deal that ended up not working for them. then they couldnt tell platinum to stop selling it and they failed on their marketing and platinum ended up remaining. so tough shit.

I may have missed something, but is anyone actually suggesting that buying a Platinum in 2018 is a good move? Or is this just an argument about whether they were ever worth buying?

dude I have 800 watts of Lm51c's with my p600. I dont have to buy anything dude. just defending shit talkers downplaying a better light than theirs because they god duped.. they put the price point right where it needs to be. that unit farm is trash tho
I didnt get duped on shit.

Here's the info. For 700 bucks you get this.

They don't list the distance for par. They don't list which Cree diode but they will if you ask.

I didn't pay a dime for mine.

I will say this. I've grown with various blurple lights and didn't like them. I would rather have t5.

The unit farm 80 I have at 175 watts grows just as good as the 200 watt citizen cob light.

If I had a need for a light meter I would.

If it floats your boat then that's cool.

I won't even buy a premade light. I won't buy a light with single diodes. If I was given the choice of single diode lights I would take unit farm.

unit farm tries selling you a bundle for a crap 160 and a 2x4x6 for OVER A GRAND LOL
They do.

If you actually talk to them you can get it at a fraction of the cost. They leave a little negotiating room

@Unit Farm System Supply

What series Cree and osram diodes are used in your lights?

Also. Your site claims you guys make the light. Do you or is it rebranded. I don't want to stick my foot in my mouth.

$200 could pretty much build you a 200W light that would kick both those units to shit.

We are just arguing about old tech. noone is dumb enough to not DIY now adays.
Plenty of people buy pre-built, and they aren't dumb for it. Not everyone is comfortable with DIY, and that's okay. If someone wants to spend the money, it's their money to spend. In fact, commercial grow ops pretty much have to buy pre-built, due to certification requirements.

par readings? he did it in a fucking video. lol
He did a center spot reading, which is meaningless by itself, while claiming there is a PAR map on the site, which is impossible to find. Its a simple matter to have a sphere test done and give an actual total PPF output number as well as a PAR efficiency number, but they can be bothered with all that - they'd rather just throw out the claim of "highest PAR per watt" without backing up the claim with a number.

They're shady, period.

well par is determined at a fucking distance
Ummm. NO. PAR or PPF, is the total light output independent of any distance measurement. Average PPFD is the total PAR spread across an area - again distance is not the determining factor. Single spot readings of PAR intensity are utterly meaningless and are all that platinum provides. They claim par maps are on the site. I've yet to find one.

We shit.

On thier site they are claiming just over 2000 for par reading but in autoflower network here is what they posted for the ufo360 at 18 inches. It's a bigger light.

UFO-320.JPG

Now. Something don't add up.

@Unit Farm System Supply

That diagram shows a reading that you guys claim for the ufo160. How is that?

Also you claim to make the light.

Here I am stepping in on your behalf and the numbers don't add up and I look the fool for it.

Here is your claim of 2028 umol for the 160 and the 320 is just 2127 umol.

That's true. The thing is here I am making claims for a company on thier behalf and the numbers don't add up and I feel like shit for it.

I kind of suspected those things and why I quit pushing the unit farm so hard.

For $700 I would rather have the unit farm over Platinum.

My preference is diy cobs or strips.

thats a UFO 320 MAP LOL HORRIBLE!!!!!! PLUS AT 1500 DOLLARS LOL @ 18 inches my p600 @ 350W is over 1800 in the center... at 650 dollars.. why you ask? IT IS FOCUSED DOWN NO WIDE SPREAD LIGHT is why its more intense. BACK TO MY ORIGINAL LENSING POST THIS IS HOW THEY GET BETTER PAR RATINGS. so just because you put a lense on it doesnt mean its gonna take away light..

From what I can tell no one is endorsing them as a good buy in 2018. Most of this thread is hysteria over the mere mention of pl*****m
