I have had two weeks of amazing growth since I last posted pictures on July 4th.
Corn has done what corn does in Wisconsin in heat. Tomatoes had an issue that I had to resolve via pruning. Currently waiting on apprx. 30 romas to vine ripen. Wife makes an amazing Bolognese sauce! I put netting over my strawberries to keep birds and rabbits away, and it is working perfectly. Carrots are rocking, probably planted too many, but my toddler daughter will crush them. Sweet peas, cucumbers and beans are all on schedule. Broccoli was a huge fail from the start!
The babies are happy and right on schedule. I'm just happy they are healthy and structurally strong. They have taken to the string of long, hot days nicely, and have easily doubled in 15 days. No nutrients or additives. Just Wisconsin soil, Lake Michigan water (the best!!), and love.
Now, patience until light/dark ratios trigger flowering. SE Wisconsin is losing about 1.5 minutes per day of sun now. By July 31 we will be close to the magic 14.5 hrs sunlight to hopefully start some magic!
Here are some pics:
My garden. My first attempt at multiple crop production, all to support my grow operation.
My babies. Praying for 2 to be sexy females, but I'll take one. Just feel blessed that they are all so healthy on their own!
Please feel free to offer up any feedback. I am quite proud of my first attempt, regardless of what it may bring in October.
