I got the idea from this video:Man that setup looks super easy, I may have to try it.
Thanks bro, for the 5 gal bucket, what were you using as an insert?I got the idea from this video:
Its kinda long but lots of good info.
I used a 31 lb kitty litter bucket - not sure how many gallon those are. Are you referring to the paint strainer he uses? Honestly, I just skipped that part - it didn't really seem necessary. A little bit of perlite came out of the spout initially, but not very much. After that very little came out. Thanks bro, for the 5 gal bucket, what were you using as an insert?
I'm curious, which one was the female? The smallest most compact one on the left? Its on a 15/45 minute cycle.
Yes, that one was the first to show. But it turns out all three are female. Damn I'm on a fucking streak here!I'm curious, which one was the female? The smallest most compact one on the left?
No way in hell I'm gonna be able to move that to the other cabinet for flowering so she is gonna flower right where she sits. Here are a couple of pics from yesterday and today:

Seems like that particular tote was a poor choice - the sides are not stiff enough. Gonna have to look for a better one.
LolNo way in hell I'm gonna be able to move that to the other cabinet for flowering so she is gonna flower right where she sits.
For some strange reason the drain is not draining at all. So its just filling with nutrient solution. I suppose I won't need to add any for a couple of weeks now....No way in hell I'm gonna be able to move that to the other cabinet for flowering so she is gonna flower right where she sits.
Shit! For some strange reason the drain is not draining at all. So its just filling with nutrient solution. I suppose I won't need to add any for a couple of weeks now....
I finally got it unclogged and its cycling now. Just had to rap on the tube a few times and it came gushing out. I had to drain out several gallons of solution into large clothes washing detergent containers - lucky I had those nearby.Shit!
Do you have something like a strong wire that you can push through the outlet until it's free again?
Stagnant water eventually becomes foul with the time and can cause root rot..
In that space 300 watts is way overkill. 200 watts would put you at 40 watts per square foot, which is more than most run.@nfhiggs dude, why didn't you tell me that you made lights??? I want one of the 300w x 8 for my cabinet... The dimensions of the cabinet is 36in. x 20in. x 52in. Can you make that happen for me please kind sir? I await your response...
But they don't sell it like that though... I'll just have to turn it down then, right? In that space 300 watts is way overkill. 200 watts would put you at 40 watts per square foot, which is more than most run.
As Humple points out, the 300 is a bit hot for that size. A much better fit would be the 200WX6 layout. Size on it is 24 x 16 inches, a comfortable fit for your size space.@nfhiggs dude, why didn't you tell me that you made lights??? I want one of the 300w x 8 for my cabinet...
