neo-Fascists drove to Portland Oregon in late June from all around the country. They came here to march in our streets, spoiling for a fight. Locals including myself showed up to oppose them and outnumbered them 4:1. When the 400 or so outsider fascists started to march in our streets, we blocked their march and some fights broke out. Police cleared the streets and the fascists were prevented from marching in Portland.

We didn't want a fight, they did. Here is a clip from their leader who quite obviously glorifies violence in a classic fascist way:

According to him, "fighting solves everything". I'm not saying fighting solved anything. I and many of the good people of Portland said their messages of hatred, white supremacy and goals of denying rights to minorities is not acceptable speech here. We made the streets of Portland unsafe for them. When they came back last weekend they were outnumbered by larger numbers and stayed behind police protection.

They are good tasting but seedy, no doubt. That's why I started juicing them I haven't made jelly yet but am thinking of trying the old fashioned way of cooking the juice down until it sets when cooled down. That way I don't have to add as much sugar.

I picked about 12 quarts of them. Made about 3 quarts of juice by bringing them to a simmer, stewing them for about 10 minutes on low heat and straining the pulp. So far, just experimenting with different ways to use the the juice. Blackberry sorbet and blackberry soda. mmmmm. My lips and toungue are stained black.
