8'x8' Grow tent kit opinions.

Definitely 6 inch. Ive never used 1000 watt light in a 4x4 but its going to get hot. You might need to turn it down to 600 if it gets too hot. What are your ambient temps like? I would also recommend getting a contactor instead of using the timer that comes with the kit.

Maximum ambient temps will be 70 in the room from here on out only mid days, going to get colder and colder from here on out....and have an A/C unit i could put in the room if it would help at all, so the timer in that kits no good? do you think the ipower is worth starting out with? was gonna buy a whole tent kit before i asked here so forgive me for all the beginner questions haha.. also can you get a contactor on amazon not even sure what that is lmao

Everything ive ordered/have in my cart totals to 800 taxes in and S/H .. got 7 fem Kingpin #18 seeds for 100$ and just need soil/nutes prob junk but better than the 2000$+ 8x8 w mars crap i was going to order i hope anyways.

Yeah you can get contactor timers on amazon. They may be called different things in different parts of the world. They are a timer which is built for taking high surges for when the ballast first starts up.

Here is examples of two variations so you know what they look like.

Yeah man people have been vegging with t5 for ages with good results.
Its not something I have ever dabbled in apart from cloning. So unsure on what recommended coverage for veg would be.

I would avoid buying any kind of kit to be honest. They seem like a massive rip off and put together with the cheapest crap they can to make the most money out of people who don't know any better.

That particular kit is supposed to be 8x8 foot yet the 6" fan isn't fit for that size space. The LEDs are not fit to light that much space. The whole thing is a no go for me.

I would sit down and think about what you want from this.
Are you growing for personal or for profit?
How much do you want to grow in weight?
Do you need an 8x8? Its fairly big!
Think about your goals and then work out from that what you need to get that.
Then troll ebay and craigslist for second hand equipment. You will get far better stuff second hand than that pile of shit.

The money you save you can invest in a quality carbon filter and keep your space smelling sweet!

I went second hand for lots of my first set up here and I’m thrilled so far at what I’ve gotten for the price.

Thanks! I’ve got 40 lbs of them. I keep them in 10lb bins. They crush 20 lbs of waste a day. I used to work at Uncle Jim’s Worm Farm- knee deep all day in the biggest worm farm in the country. 150 acres of worm beds- harvested by the tractor bucket full. He was glad to let me harvest my fill.

If you bought from jim in the last few years chances are I harvested, packed and shipped your worms myself.

bought our first house recently and the yard was nothing but sand. Some cheap grass seed and a couple weeks worth of these guys castings, and my whole fucking yard is green. They’ll be feeding my garden beds all year, and will be creating 20% of my soil base for my indoor garden.

Learned I can save castings for up to 3 years if done correctly. Considering bagging and selling. They’re going to multiply so quickly I’ll need to build them a bed, most likely.
