How long do i wait?

Hello Folks :peace:
I have another question? (:
When I test ppm and ec. Then adjust, add water or nutes. How long should I wait until electric or particles stop jittering about... if they do that. To get a more accurate test?
If this is already in a forum... then I apologize, I couldn't find it. ( maybe type too many words in search box )

Thanks All and Happy Saturday to You

EC stands for electrical conductivity. Pure water has poor electrical conductivity. As more partials or PPM enter the water the electrical conductivity increases. The meter responds to this and you make and educated guess based on the reading, PH, and experience what you need to do.

Your initial mix will have a desired PPM and PH.

After each watering even this will change and you will need to adjust or dilute when it gets to far out of desired range.

i am not an indoor grower but his is what i was taught.

Thank you for the message and advice. :)
I check daily. But even after adjusting such as using nutes or watering down if required or adjusting PH. Should I wait an hour before retesting or is it okay to just do after five minutes? I have been waiting ten minutes? Is that enough?

Thanks again.

Add nutes to water 1 part at a time and stir. When all components are i n and it has been thoroughly stirred check it.

I have a recirculating circuit on the pump in my grow (35 gallons of nutrients in it, 900gph pump. I mix, let it circulate for 15 minutes, then test and repeat till the pH is correct, then it gets sent to the plants.

Many thanks for the message and advice. :joint::mrgreen:.
I like the 15minute wait. I'm only small grow, 35 gallons is big.

Grow Well. :peace:
