Neighbor called the cops on me.

Why are you looking forward to letting him see your 8" plants? Why would you invite them in? I find it hard to believe that a cop is going to leave his donuts and coffee in the patrol car to walk by your house sniffing for weed. Especially since it's legal.
He just said he was by, he's trying to panic you. If he calls again tell him to piss off, or at least tell him you got nothing else to say and if he/they come by demand a warrant. Done.

*next time never admit to anything. Ever.

Because I’m 100% legit and have done nothing wrong, and I want them to feel shame for investigating. I’m fully within my current rights. I want to put this behind me with the cops, and then deal with the neighbor.
No, you were growing 7 plants because being able to legally grow 6 was just too big of a responsibility for you to handle.

Odds are if they the police called you, and it was a somewhat pleasant conversation; where it was clear to anyone listening that you were within you legal rights and you were not being deceptive, they are not showing up. If they show up WITHOUT a warrant. DO NOT let them in. Get on the phone with a lawyer. Since this it is now legal to grow personal pot, this starts to become a civil rights issue. Lying to the police IS a crime and IS NOT the same as saying "I wish to exercise my right to remain silent." Being silent is NOT obstructing justice. This is a scare tactic police use on fishing expeditions. Telling the police you are breaking the law is a confession of guilt and is admissible as evidence in court. For instance the motocop pulls you over then jaunts over to your car and then places his hand on you car and says, "Do you know why i pulled you over?" Then you say (like an idiot) "No." Then they say, "do you know how fast you were going?" you say, "IDK like 52-53mph" The limit is 50; you just admitted to lying to the police AND speeding, you sign a ticket and it is never dropped because YOU said you were breaking the law. This is why remaining silent is your only right when dealing with police. Their only objective when questioning you is catch in a lie. Their commands ARE legal like; stop, face me, face away, take you hands out of you pocket, lay down, be quite, you are under arrest, or leave now. You have to listen to those commands. You dont have to listen to; May we come in? Will you answer questions? Or relinquish possession of personal property that is not associated with a crime or crime in progress.

Knowing this, you can be quite an annoyance to the police. Many will back off and begin to avoid you if you stick to your silence. Or better yet talk about something else not related to the subject. Like the weather, or the stock market. Then it becomes a waste of time for them as they have to record these rambling statements and justify why they were there in the first place after listening to all that bullshit.

I have successfully been pulled out of my car at a DUI check point, refused to dance in front of the camera, then sat quietly and asked to leave, never once putting my mouth on a blow tube. They can only detain you for a reasonable about of time, which is about 20 mins. I was also responsible and was not drinking, although my wife was..

I live in CA. I had a neighbor accuse me of growing weed, by verbally yelling it across the yard. I just smiled and said "good morning." My plants are outside, only 5 but, they are huge and reek right now. I do have a shade and green house plastic I can pull over them if someone complains. Do i care that everyone may know? Not really, when i see people around, I never bring it up and I act non the wiser. Why? No attention is good attention. If i keep my front yard in order, and a smile on my face, what are they going to do? If they break a law or harass me? I just make a complaint.

Don't break the law. They will catch you and they will hem you up.

Thanks.

So if I’m not breaking the law, why not just clear everything up? I’m not a retard, but I’m legit 100% non issue.

So the cops called you to ask if you were breaking the law? How do you know it was the cops and not someone messing with you. The cops usually don't call you before they stop by. They show up at your door unannounced.
At 5 in the morning, while your ass is in the bed sleeping!!!

In California.

I’m in Veg, and have 7 plants from seed. Guess I have to get rid of one.

So what happens if the cops see 7 plants, not 6? I cannot believe that I have spoken to a detective about needing to see the inside of my home.

This neighbor and I have been going around for a year now. Last time, she says ‘I can see your colored lights, I’m not stupid, I know what you’re doing”. I guess my neighbor does not like my Phillips Hue lighting system for my home.
Thought it's legal
