For those of us who are unaware, could you please advise what you are doing? From a brief look at the thread you have been crossing various strains once then moved on to a new cross? What is happening with the resulting genetics?

Not sure what you mean. The only two crosses I have personally made thusfar is the (P98 x Southern Comfort) & the ([Purple Haze x Malawi] x Oldtimer’s Haze), neither of which have matured yet. The crosses you see above—(GG#4 x Sour Diesel) & (GMOx Sour Diesel)—are not my work, they are from Shoreline Genetics. I am running Shoreline stuff for the sake of demonstrating the crosses which people who follow Shoreline Genetics might be interested in.

The ones I have bred, I plan to inbreed once the seeds have matured, been picked, and dried.

Purple Haze x Malawi

Flower Week 9 Day 6

That yellowing is definitely genetics from the Malawi Gold. She’s fed fairly well.

Flower Week 6 Day 6

Probably an 8-9 week strain, I would guess. Beautiful trichome formation, leather leaves, and the most wicked stank you could want in a Roadkill Skunk-type derivative.

nothing like that rich hash taste...I had a Pakistani that tasted phenomenal, but didn't really like the effects..moved on. The problem with stocking up on more strains and landraces, at least for those with count limits, is that you are constantly in a losing battle in terms of time to grow them out. In another 2 years, I'll need an extra 10 years to grow them out.

My legal count limit is zero, technically. I just don’t have the funds to spend 60-65 an eighth for medical without the option of insurance when I go through that in about 3 days (if I stretch it) and live off a meager veteran’s pension I have to care for a girlfriend of 6 years and a 1 year old daughter with. If I have to account for myself in court, they’re going to be pretty humiliated. You have to have a debilitating illness in this state just to get a card, and you need to be a millionaire to open up a grower/processor facility. It’s fucking extortion, and I’ll be damned before I play their game. Damned if I do, anyway. I’d rather chance going to prison than suffer every day or be left unable to feed my family. Can’t be worse than the military or the psych ward.

Yeah dude I was just in Cali and was blown away by the prices. It’s better stuff than Denver, but more expensive

Jonathan Shay makes an explicit connection between the berserker rage of soldiers and the hyperarousal of post-traumatic stress disorder.[33] In Achilles in Vietnam, he writes:

If a soldier survives the berserk state, it imparts emotional deadness and vulnerability to explosive rage to his psychology and permanent hyperarousal to his physiology — hallmarks of post-traumatic stress disorder in combat veterans. My clinical experience with Vietnam combat veterans prompts me to place the berserk state at the heart of their most severe psychological and psychophysiological injuries.[34]

“The rage the berserker experienced was referred to as berserkergang ("going berserk"). This condition has been described as follows:

This fury, which was called berserkergang, occurred not only in the heat of battle, but also during laborious work. Men who were thus seized performed things which otherwise seemed impossible for human power. This condition is said to have begun with shivering, chattering of the teeth, and chill in the body, and then the face swelled and changed its colour. With this was connected a great hot-headedness, which at last gave over into a great rage, under which they howled as wild animals, bit the edge of their shields, and cut down everything they met without discriminating between friend or foe. When this condition ceased, a great dulling of the mind and feebleness followed, which could last for one or several days.[25]

“The fight-or-flight response (also called hyperarousal, or the acute stress response) is a physiological reaction that occurs in response to a perceived harmful event, attack, or threat to survival.[1] It was first described by Walter Bradford Cannon.[a][2] His theory states that animals react to threats with a general discharge of the sympathetic nervous system, preparing the animal for fighting or fleeing.[3] More specifically, the adrenal medulla produces a hormonal cascade that results in the secretion of catecholamines, especially norepinephrine and epinephrine.[4] The hormones estrogen, testosterone, and cortisol, as well as the neurotransmitters dopamine and serotonin, also affect how organisms react to stress.[5]”
