Here I thought he was referring to me. Asshole yes, hater no.
I asked gu direct about industrial hemp, crickets, why? Its a billion dollar industry as opposed to the few thou that may be pocked from selling bunk mj seeds. Getting the genetics in country is first step, kinda like money laundering with seeds. Making seeds of reliably consistent genetic origin in the near future will require clean room like environment, if it isnt already the case.
You have a discerning eye for plant structure and a knowlege of plant lineage well in excess of what I care to know. I wish you would apply that to a search for a male to make regular seeds.

The problem with males is having the space to run 100s of them and than you have to test every offspring seed of them males to make sure you have a good one.i could select a male from hundreds of seeds but how well that male will produce dank plants requires way to much overhead.
Its just easier to cross proven females that are already putting out cup winners and dank offspring.
It's possible in the distant future I may take on the venture of finding a male but i would be out of pocket 10 grand on seeds from bodhi or another similar breeder to find the perfect male.
Unless someone gifts me a male that I know for a fact is a proven stud.that would be a very long shot.

Male selection is very similar to female selection, you might pop a pack of reg seeds and find a spectacular male. Main problem with male selection is people don't know what a keeper male looks like because not many grow them. You really need to grow out a few males then you will know what a proper male plant is...you don't need to run hundreds or thousands of beans to find a good male, it's about the same rate as keeper females, 1-2 packs should yield a quality male.

Yeah it has way more to do with what kind of off spring that male is gonna produce.you might find a stellar male but it might put out garbage pail kids.i would have to breed with at least 2 dozen males selected out of a couple hundred and than make seeds with the same female out of all them males to see which male is putting out the fire.that is exactly the way I would have to do it.

Exactly the issue as I see it, the quest for instant gratification. The 10k in seeds pales in comparison to the 100K + for the facility needed for the method of search you seem to have in your head. Adjust the scale and eat the elephant one bite at a time. Who knows eventually more people will grow out boys and cuts will become easier to come by.

It's worth it, fem seeds suck compared to regular ones. A good male is worth it's weight in gold, it's so easy to find cuts here in CO, but finding good pollen is very rare. It's why GPS has a seed company, without their stardawg male they would be trash.

Half of his females he is using came from fems.i dont understand why people say fems suck.
Alot of growers dont have the space to run double plants to sex them.they want to grow them out and count on that plant being one they can keep without raising plants only to toss in the trash.
I respect you guys opinions but I am super anxious to see how the testers and s1s turn out on the first drop for others as they have turned out for me.
Wed cake and gg4 are 2 power houses and putting them together is not gonna give you junk I can assure of that as well as many others.
Your gonna find a keeper.
The same way hermie traits are passed to the seeds is the same way the dankness is also.

Placed 3rd in party cup with a fem x reg. I see their value but prefer regs, hit me up if you want/need a reg tester.

Any chances on you coming off if a few of those wifi s1s?
Naw I'm not gonna release them.not worth the headache.im sending one pack out to someone that understands the risk.
I'm sure 1 or 2 might throw balls out of 12 but in also sure he will find a fire ass keeper.
But handing them out to just who ever not gonna happen.
they didnt come from forced pollination.it was light manipulation and they hermied a little bit to easy for my liking.
With s1s the harder it is to reverse the better.

To say there are keepers males just as much as keeper females isnt so far from the truth its unreal. Apparantly you've never found a good male. Bc thry arent 1 in 10. An actual good breeding male is about 1 in 500. A male you pop and chuck with bc he smells good or has good structure or big clusters of male flowers. Or trich production. Or any of the above male traits that are what people want. Doesnt make that male a keeper. I've grown out upwards of 250 males total in my grow life. And I mean from sprout to collection. And not one of them was a true breeding male keeper. Males are alot harder to find. The female to male keeper ratio is not even close.

Sorry you don't know how to sort out a male plant for breeding, maybe use better genetics?

I got a spectacular tangie male right now i am working with, brings big time vigor and frost to anything it hits(strong sativa qualities in high as well). Just crossed it to my wifi (not a hermie prone phenotype).
