Days above 36 I'll check my plants morning and night in case they need a second drink...pots most likely ..in the ground not if you gave em a big drink in the morning

It's not a necessity but I use it we get a lot of days 41-44 in Jan-feb

From past experience I reckon a shade cloth might nenifet me I wanna set mine up like urs with A cage so I can tie down and scrog and the shade cloth

Grass would work or a pot stand/piece of ply on the concrete under the pots. The heat being trapped in the concrete wouldn’t be good for the root zone.

I just use 30% block it's only light stuff so I can still take in what the sun has to offer
Like I said depends on post the ground the weather in your area etc etc I've had shadecloth over mine the last 12 odd years and I have no problem yielding 1lb-2lb a plant in ground this way

Probably better to raise them. Sitting them on the grass might be inviting pest problems. (I’m super paranoid when it comes to bugs tho lol)

A beer crate is perfect but grass still be ok if they are normal pot.
Fabrics pots will grow roots thru them into the ground
