Police use roadside saliva tests for the first time, with mandatory breath tests soon to follow

"As of this week, however, at least two large police forces — the Nova Scotia RCMP and the Winnipeg Police Service — have started administering roadside saliva tests on drivers. Both forces have now made an arrest using the device, and both have drawn a blood sample from the arrested driver to be analyzed for THC."

They NEED PROBABLE CAUSE: DO NOT GIVE IT TO THEM COCKSUCKERS!

Carry pig shit in a bucket in your car per the excellent advice of a senior Hippy. If you are getting pulled over, the best defense is to smear it on yourself :)

The news story on CTV I saw tonight said they need some reason to pull you over unless it's a roadside check thing. Then no reason needed.
But if just just tooling along they said they needed something such as a broken lamp or sticker other visible issue. Of course they will make up some reason.
On a side note I loved the story where last week in Niagara region the one cop shot the other cop in an argument..now that's more like it imo.

BC has said they won't use them - we'll see. One thing this should do, assuming the charges are challenged, is destroy the 5 ng limit idea. If I can stand in front of a judge at 20 ng and be completely sober, it's kinda impossible to say I'm impaired at 5 ng.

My buddy was pulled over a couple of weeks ago, while smoking a joint, the cop and him talked for about 5 minutes.The cop then said I knew you just smoked weed,but you aren’t in way impaired as far I can see,and sent him on his way.
But as we all know some are assholes,some not so much.

My son got pulled over immediately after we smoked a joint at my place - RCMP had a atv check at the end of the logging road, so they stopped his truck. Made him do the walk the line, stand on one foot bullshit, talked to him for awhile and handed him back his license. The cop even commented on how little it affected him. And that was 5 years ago.
