I read somewhere that those fancy Lithiom ion packs do more environmental damage than the gas they save. Not sure on that one but something put in your pipe and smoke on...

Nevada Lithium mine.....Mining of, making of, charging of and the disposing of makes batteries arguably worse for the environment than a Petrol powered vehicle.
Expensive to replace the packs to and I don't think they have a very long life.

GM cites trumps retarded and unwinnable trade war actuallyThis is the actual reason for GM ending jobs. They've been getting pushed around in the market for a long time, decades actually. New companies are coming to take their place regardless.
If Trump was President when Blockbuster went under, ya'll'd be blaming him for it while logging into Netflix.
Other than the Supreme Court, these tariffs could do the most long term damage of all his "adventures". We have a little down turn on the way. It's the way the world works. It's been a long time, and it's going to happen sooner or later. These tariffs could turn that into a serious recession or even depression. {tariffs made the Great Depression worse and last longer}As a trump hater it pains me to defend him.
His trade war/redesign is long overdue and will likely be the only good notes from his hopefully single term.
Fortunately they're recyclable.I read somewhere that those fancy Lithiom ion packs do more environmental damage than the gas they save. Not sure on that one but something put in your pipe and smoke on...

A more nuanced market analysis reveals that due to extreme and worsening income inequality in America, there are relatively few entry level car buyers anymore; those buying new have the money to buy bigger luxury cars, the rest of us buy used.Yep. It's a shame folks didn't buy them. SUV's are what is selling. I've been saying for years we need to kick up the gas tax high enough that folks will be forced to drive fuel efficient cars. It has worked in EU countries.
Bolivia and you can bet the deals have already happened.Very interesting... so it sounds like Samsung Toyota apple and Tesla need to do some real estate shopping in chilli!
Data shows Tesla batteries will still have 80% capacity at 300,000 miles....No.
You mine, refine and manufacture that battery once. Yep, just once for up to 100k miles. The electricity can be generated from renewable, non polluting sources, even intermittent ones, even solar panels on your roof.
The supply of gasoline has to be endless, especially when you factor in the production multiple, or how much MORE oil is needed in order to extract, refine and deliver that gallon to your neighborhood gas station.
Tesla's Closed Loop Battery Recycling ProgramFortunately they're recyclable.
I looked at a Volt once. It struck me as a $25K car selling for over 40K because it had a battery.Yep. It's a shame folks didn't buy them. SUV's are what is selling. Yep. We have two Prius. Great cars for a decent price. But neither of us put many miles on a car. My Camry is a '13 and it has 50K. At 33 mpg, that means I've only put a hair over 1500 gallons in it. The wife is retired, so her cars almost never get driven anymore.I looked at a Volt once. It struck me as a $25K car selling for over 40K because it had a battery.
And the battery warranty/replacement cost was fucking scary. Normal people will buy electric when they're similarly priced to gas, and you get a warranty longer than the loan.
Then they are getting more miles on the battery packs than my old boss did. He was lucky to get 5 years and went through a controller or two in that time as well.No.
