Random leaf yellowing

I'm growing in soil, 1 gallon pots to just flower out the clones and change what I grow. Water pH 6.8, temps and humidity are nominal and they have a fan for circulation. I checked the nute pics and mostly the deficiencies are specific to the lower or upper leaves, so this puzzles me. I may have given them too much nutes for the size of the pots, I have given their momma's more than what I fed them in bigger pots and had no problems. I have just given them water the last time. I don't water until they are dry. I have not added any CalMag but the pics of a Mag deficiency do not seem to match up with what I see. I have had some leaf edges turning brown and crispy also. Any clue?

Older leaves yellowing tells you it is a mobile nutrient issue. Since you are not adding cal/mag, I'll go with magnesium deficiency. Good luck!

I have to wait awhile to add anything, the plastic pots hold moisture more than the terra cotta I used before that breathed better. I know they are rootbound but it is what it is and I just want to finish them out. I don't have the heart to just pull them.

1 gallon pots won't work for a long soil grow. each plant needs 15 gallon pots or bigger, preferably bigger.

You can also foliar feed with epsom salt, or a very light mix of cal mag. The ladies really love a good folir feed.

Like I said, I am just doing a quick turnaround to finish these off so I can put my effort into a new strain that has a more pleasant smell. These are Chemdawg 4's and we're not a fan of the smell. They will be 10 weeks on the 29th, 5 in flower.

I’m running a chem dawg and blue cheese grow and I’ve been less then pleased with the smell from my chem dawg as well as bud growth. It’s a short bushy plant. Bad for scrogging imo. Gonna grownout the last three seed of chem and then set up cloning for he blue cheese. I’ve liked how hardy that ones been and the buds are pretty dense with a great cheese aroma. Here’s my ladies currently. Battled some ph issues but got a new meter the other day and they seem to have liked having proper ph water lol

@CrudeDude I had the same problems with their mothers at about this point in flower, they obviously change what they want to eat drastically at this point and I have not been able to pin it down yet. Yours seem quite healthy.

I made the call based off the 50/50 info on when to switch to bloom nuets. I went ahead this time and switched on day 1. However I noticed the back right one lost its color compared to the other two but I know I’ve had ph issues throughout cause the cheap meter I had. Got a better one for Xmas and they like the adjustments so far. I will say though next grow I’ll wait a week to switch nuets. They need the extra nitrogen as he bloom nuets don’t have much

I meant like the infonon the internet. Some people say switch right away. Some people say wait a week. Bout 50/50 choice so I went with right away. Wrong choice. For me at least. Gonna run the next one a week before switching.

I guess I'll try some CalMag first, then next watering I'll give bloom nutes, the nutes I use in veg are a higher percentage of nutrients than most people use, but I had the stuff laying around and it seemed to work fine in veg, not so much in flower I guess.

No improvement on condition. Calmag didn't seem to help.

I'll try that tomorrow when I water, I have some 0-10-10 bloom nutes, however I gave that to them with the Calmag the previous time I watered.

My 2 ¢ ....

To me it looks like a combined problem ....
Purple stems ..... mag deficiency.
Plus potassium deficiency.

I would stick with bloom only Nutes mixed with at LEAST 1 tsp ( up to 2 tsp for heavier issues ) per gallon of ph 6.5 water . In between watering ( no feed ) also at 6.5 with calmag.

Potassium deficiency can ALSO be a result of the mag issue.

Thanks Budz, I need to check pH after mixing Calmag also, I read that it will increase pH and mine is borderline high anyway.

Remember ... leaves will not recover , you are trying to stop / slow progression of issue.

So after reading about these types of problems a little.One clue is its started at the tip and is moving inward.Or so it apears.This would eliminate some things.
Sorry i dont have an answer,my first guess was N def or root bound.
