popping seeds in dirt

How long can i expect to see sprouting action? this is my first time ever sprouting seeds in dirt. usually i do paper towel method within 24hours or less they crack but i don't transplant into cups until 24hours. then it takes anywhere from 3-4 days to sprout. not sure if popping them in dirt will cause delay by a few days.

also do you water daily or just like regular keep it moist but not overwatered? I also added a tiny bit of myko's to the soil under the seeds was this a bad idea? i figured it will kick start the seedlings root systems. i've never heard anyone doing this however

I get sprouts in about 4 or 5 days. Sometimes a week. Yea, keep the soil moist but not wet wet. Mykos is beneficial. I actually thought that was written on the package before to plant seeds. Or maybe it says transplants. Anyway, no worries

i find its seed dependent. sometimes old seeds take weeks

I like the paper towel method to get the seeds to crack open. But it can take anywhere from 3 days to two weeks. After two weeks I doubt they germinated.

yea usually paper towel method is the way i go so i can see progress but now im like blind can't dig um up or nothing. really hoping they sprout within a week. either way though i mean i kind of fucked up so if they take longer but do sprout eventually i'd be happy. trying to figure out a way to have 2 grow rooms since i have my current grow flowering in my closet and these seeds starting

I am on same situation..

I out 7seeds on dirt (8hours before put in glass water) todays 4th day after put into dirt (1cm down) but no signs yet. This is my 3rd grow and i am worrying since they have internal clock as well.

How the things going on. My worry is 7 seeds nothing pop yet single one

I wish your come with no worries

4 days ain't so bad maybe it is your humidity? i didn't put anything over my plants like a dome to get it more humid so im gonna see what happens. tomorrow will be day 2 doubt anything will pop up but today nothing. i know quite a few people who germinated within 7-14 days so you still got quite a long time to go. humidity here in Hawaii is always high so i don't tend to worry about domes maybe if i cloned then yea.

i just hope mine pop in general never grew seeds from Dutch Passion before they looked good though. if they take longer im fine with that because it just allows me to prolong my flowering plants by an extra week which is perfect. set up my ghetto flowering room but these plants will still be sharing the same veg room for lighting then using my flowering room just for darkness.

i dropped mine 1cm down as well maybe less because i filled the holes with myko's

the biggest issue i've had with my current grow when planting seeds too shallow is the base would prop up of the soil after a few waterings and the plants were wobbly when i moved them. they even fell over but i just ended up topping them with soil and transplanting them deeper and the stalk eventually grew more roots.

Some say its good to have a dome others say don't Since i have a ac on my tent room my humidity is around 55% but top dressing not dry but always almost dry (top dressing with cocoir - i havent done any top dressings it automatically happens lol) today i search a one plant bit and i see small tap root there (very small) the soil is not very moisten but mosten. So i spray water for all pots and cover up with bottles (domes)

Since this is your thread i am going to open a new thread can you suggest me a titel for my thread..It's going to be long thread with 13 autos - 2 tents seeds to harvest type thread

i dont use a dome for humidity basically because humidity in Hawaii it always pretty high right now it is 68% summer time can hit 90% so i wanted to see if with just the regular humidity if they will pop out on their own and if so how long it will take. i think the extra humidity from the ziploc bags kick start the germination but by doing it this way it might take longer. im currently in middle of day 3 so far nothing. i dont run my fan i just run my lights 24/0 on them i really dont want to put a dome on them since i want to see how long it will take without one but as a last resort i probably will after 7 days and nothing.

almost end of day 3 i got 1 out of 3 to pop.

1 looks like nothing it happening and the other looks like it will pop later on today i see what looks like it trying to pop. sadly the soil i used has a shit load of fungus gnats so it will be interesting to see what happens. wont be using that soil though

2nd seed popped as expect not fully but it will get there for sure by the end of today. no signs on last seed though

3rd seed sprouting as well. just checked right now i can see it pushing out the soil very slightly in a few hours it should break the surface

Bad luck here...... Day 6th (started monday today saturday)

None of them pop up but all seeds break ( lets call this germinate ) but none of them sprout. If you have gnats it seems to be bad in future i hate gnats.

I am going to give another try

My temp was 26 - 27 - 28C (never more never less)
60 - 65RH

What was the wrong ..when i wake up soil is not dried but its not moist as well.. but i don't think it will be the reason...i have added coir dust (same as coca coir ) thats the reason it dries quick but i don't think its the problem..when i check one there was small tap root at day 5... What do you guys suggest ?

I have no time as well

IS this cause soil issue (my soil ph 6.8 - 6.9)

PS : i waterd with vinegar to down soil ph will that the problem ?

maybe try raise your humidity? i don't fuck with the soil or water until after they sprout. i'd start to dome it already give it maybe 20 days max if nothing still fuck um maybe seeds were bad idk?

No i cant t wait for 20days as time is more important to me (my weed + my plans + my electricity issues) So i need to harvest before aprill 20th that's what i am trying to do...Yesterday night i sown 3 fresh autos (from seedsman) and put a domes lets say how its going....

I also found 1 seeds from older batch is already sprout (white widow) (when i carefully digging) and stuck with leafs ..even that its not break the soil almost 8days...hmmm i wonder something going wrong with soil ? Like fungi or i am too much panic ?

No just a knuckle no mre 1cm deep.. I just put 3 autos in a water glass... My tent temp is 27 but soil in pot bit cool is that ok ? or can i incraese tent temp ?

27C should be okay to pop um that is where i popped mine around with mid 60's humidity. mine are getting stretchy lol forgot to drop the lights down for 2 days. like i said before it literally can take days as you know to germ not all seeds will germ as fast as your other seeds have plus quality is key. i literally dont buy im bulk for this reason. i buy when im close to popping them and i buy maybe 5 at most. both of the seeds i popped previously were all popped within 1-3 days of receiving them. only my first grow was the one that i didn't do this as they werent my seeds. they been in the fridge for at least a year though

That;s glad to here now you have active seedling...today i notice small yellow looking leaf from WW plat (which i planted 7 days ago )..


I really gave up on those 7 seesd i sow 7 days ago...Now my hope about other seeds which i sow yesterday...I sow them after wait 24H of watering pot...but soil is wet ..or moist (it really confuse ) But pot has no muddy water or anything..but when put finger on it i feel its wet ..is that going to ok ? should i remove my dome for now ?

BTW i follow simple auto flower guide from reddit
