Pro Mix help

so im thinking of going soilless to test it out but i have a few questions regarding ProMix

1. does it contain ANY nutrients? i don't see anywhere stating it does so i can only assume no.
2. Do you treat the PH the same as with coco since it is soilless or no?
3. When growing in soilless do you want to keep it moist and not dry out just like coco?

4. has anyone tried pro mix vs soil and seen any better results from their grows just based off feeding ( say if it contains NO nutrients thus you'd have to feed earlier but in soil they usually contain nutrients for some time and i was wondering if using your own nutrients versus whatever is inside the soil brands would be better or you really don't see any difference at all?; speaking from a noobie point of view

The Promix I grow in only has some starter nutrients which are good for about 2 to 3 weeks at the most. I usually feed starting at 2 weeks.
If you're planning on using nutes anyway promix is a good product and reasonably priced
It's also PHed neutral to start with

so i am looking around seems like the Bx and HP lines contain no nutrients at all one person claimed 1 of their lines that i don't really see much talk about does contain nutrients in the form of compost

Feed at 6.5. Treat as soil, let it dry out between waterings. Calmag based on water quality, if using RO use calmag.
thanks. i was reading up on how soilless is supposed to be better for roots due to less compaction as you water compared to soil. do you have any experience with soilless to justify that it would be overall better compared to soil due to this reason or do you not see any difference at all?

i mean when i think of outdoor grows makes no sense because how the hell can they grow in the ground in soil otherwise right?

i need it like ASAP my seedlings will be ready to transplant within a few days to a week from now. 1-2 should be okay in a few days though one is slacking behind but not by much. if i order online literally will take 2 weeks max to get to me 1 if im lucky. stores here dont carry pro mix this is literally the only shop that does and 1 other but then they always claim to carry things but don't possibly sold out and trying to get rid of other brands thats why.

i think the owner said he sells the bale for like $60. FFOF is $22 around here for 1.5cf but i think the bales are close to 4cf i know they are 3cf at least.

yea i've checked Lowes, homedepot, walmarts here that have a garden section ( most don't or it is extremely limited garden products ), 2 of the near by hydroponic stores none carry them only 2 stores carry the product based on the retailer list. i'll check on pricings though going on friday on my day off plants should be ready for transplant by then or Monday for sure. hopefully they still even got some left. last time i went the shipment was almost gone and they bought 2 pallets full of it.

Have you tried Sunshine 4?
nope we are EXTREMELY limited on products here in Hawaii in the stores. i just read about it but no idea what it is the person said it was good though. what im mainly looking for is like a soil/soilless medium that doesn't contain so much added nutrients that im waiting a month before i feed. so far the best options i have available locally are

1. ffof 2. Pro mix if in stock 3. Happy frog ( only 1 store sells it here ) 4. roots organic orginal and 707 sadly they don't sell the green lite which would be great for me. 5. coco but im not very experienced with soils to really move onto say coco might have more issues growing in coco right now.

with my current grow im trying to get nicer and bigger plants with less issues. so if i run the pro mix i might get issues due to over feeding. with ffof and roots organics it's a safer bet for me since i have some experience with those lines plus i still need to test out ffof fully. pretty much like a kid in a candy store basically wanna buy em all but dont have the space or money to really grow a shit load of plants to compare them with.

although my dad does grow and has more grows under his belt then me he uses roots organic but his grows are shit so i gotta test everything myself.
