You are absolutely right that her body is her body and if we were talking about a hang nail or an ovary, that would be her body, but a child that SHE IS CARRYING is not her body it is a separate body with separate DNA from the father and mother with its own features and potential.

The Supreme Court ruling in Roe V Wade was made because pregnancy is not a hang nail or a tumor on an ovary. Carrying a child to term has significant long term and lasting effects both on the woman's health, quality of life and equality in the work force.
