Is there a coco you can use right out of the bag

Shiiiiiiit, I buy the cheap $10, 11lbs bricks on Amazon. Hydrate it w/ 4 gallons of tap water, And use. Rinsing and charging coco? Screw that. Where am I going to do that? Especially in the winter.
Just lower your nutes, and water to run-off daily.

Tupur(2 per) is good stuff if you insist on bagged.
Shit, I've been paying 15 per brick with prime - I feel like I've screwed the pooch and over paid. Otherwise, I do the same hydrate and go.

So I just put some seedlings in coco loco feeding 5.9 ph no nutes. But.getting slight tip burn and very slight twist. First time with coco loco, the run off I read is 3k out of the bag, and I confirmed such. 3000 ppm is crazy, ph is stable.

You don't have issues with seedlings in loco?
I use coco loco it is 3000 ppm out the bag. I got slight twist, tip burn on a leaf or 3. But I thought I might have over watered, big pot small plant. Eventually after roots establish and daily watering starts it really takes off.
But seems it can be over watered. Or.maybe it was a nute issue. Not sure, I suspect that 3000ppm is more of 2ndary metabolites from the active organsims. Probably not hurting plants. After a month or two runoff ppms equal input ppms.

What nutes do you use? What size pot and plant? And how much water?

Better than old rdwc, but also 480w of qbs and tighter temp/humid.

first grow in coco I really like it. Just easier than rdwc and.less chance of.root.problems with same growth rate.

I'll post a Pic of the issues. And current 12 days after 12/12.

Most all coco is already rinsed these days and don't have the salt issues from years ago. I buy it by the bricks and was buying Botanicare but it's gone up in price and is $26 on Amazon. Last bale I bought was Coco Bliss for $16. I just rehydrate in mild nutrient solution and use it. No rinsing and plants are doing great. One thing I won't do is buy bagged coco. They charge three times as much just because it isn't in a compressed brick.

So your coco bliss 2.2 cu ft for $16 plus time to treat, cost of nutrients to load, is.somehow cheaper than $18 2 cu ft bag of.coco loco? Plus extra space and equipment. I.doubt you can achieve the same profile as coco loco for $2, assuming your value your time at $0. The cost of entry to get all the mats in coco loco is significant.

Don't pay 3 x $16, $48 for bags that's a scam. Or $78

I don't want all the other stuff they put in coco loco. The only equipment I use is an 18 gallon tote. I put the coco bale in it and add around three gallons of weak nutrient solution. Walk away for an hour. Go back and loosen it up with my hands and fill the pots.

Coco Loco looks like a decent procduct but it's more of a potting mix with coco coir instead of peat. With my style of growing I want just straight coco coir. I grow in 100% coco without any added perlite and I feed with water soluble calcium nitrate, a micronutrient blend, and MKP.

I might just get a bag of Coco Loco and use it for a couple outdoor auto flowers I have some seeds of this summer. I don't grow auto's but I have some freebies laying around that need to get planted.

"Bush Doctor Coco Loco Potting Soil by Foxfarm is one crazy little mix that’s chock-full of the best coconut coir available. Also includes plenty of good stuff like aged forest products, perlite, earthworm castings, bat guano, Norwegian kelp meal, oyster shell and dolomite lime. Heck, it even has some mycorrhizal fungi tossed in for good measure!"

one of the things i like about coco is the total control i have over what goes into it...that reads like potting soil..

Dang, I bought cocotek based on a recommendation. I was gonna mix it with some GS-1 Grostones for aeration. Should I go back Tupur?

I have had no problem with Coco right out of the bag. Then again I go with no name Coco coir from the hydro store and it's only $15 for a 30lb bag. The perlite I add is more then the Coco it's $30 for a $30 bag. I mix 50/50 then add organic amendments to it. Slap it into the pots and away we go. pH to 7.0+ to keep the biome healthy.
