'When alive, cannabis has a moisture content of about 80% it will begin to crumble at a moisture content around 9%. Ideal storage is considered 10% - 15% moisture. Relative humidity is essentially a measure of the moisture content of the air.'

Xopy and paste of a conversation we should be hqving not what rh air is - always been open to the real info and facts so rarely discusses becausecof again rh :-)

so how do we monitor and measure the moisture content?

You could have just said break it up and toke it. That's plenty scientific lol.
Im not even sure if some here are on the same planet as me and feel sorry they followed some pixie dust trail instead of just learning the basics and applying them.

Is it bad that i have an education here :-)

Just the way you display it I suppose. Context and demeanor is lost through the Internet, why I never came to forums.

Being "real" isn't a good thing anymore I guess. I deal with it outside of the Internet, so I suppose it's the same for you, especially with lost translations.

Dry times are dictated buy the bud structure. Light airy buds found from some new growers or found on some strains, will dry fast and be harsh.

Dence heavy buds dry slower and don’t get that crunchy ness so fast.

For me when I got better at growing and have better quality buds to work with. My trimming was easyer and drying as curing made more sence.

Practice practice practice.
Then smoke smoke smoke.

It’s a lovely circle

actually it is rocket science (almost). THE PROCESS according to you is dry it for two weeks. it i let my buds dry for two weeks in my climate they would be dryer than dust. I am not going to buy a new heating system for my house so i can control the humidity in my whole house just to dry some herb. you were the one that mentioned 10% - 15% moisture content. all i wanted to know was how you measured that. instead of answering you go on one of your tirades.

Thank you, i knew there had to be some kind of science. I dried it 6 days in cellar with heater and humidifier. Im saying when i put it in the jar i thought i over dried it but i didn't. 3 days now in jar and i burp them when it was reaching 61 rh. Im at 60 rh now burping 3 times a day for 10min a time.

Don't dry below 58%, vacuum seal at 58% for long-term storage

The zone you are looking to cure in, the goldilocks zone as it can be called, is that 55-60% range. If you are slightly above, you can burp a little bit daily..if you are close to 70%, then it's better to dry longer before putting back in jars. Once you hit your sweet spot and it remains stable, i personally may open the jar once every 3-5 days afterwards for maybe a month. I think you're in the perfect spot now, if it climbs up a bit, burp a few minutes, if it's stable, leave her be and burp 1-2 times a week if need be.
