Ph levels in my soil

I’m not trying to mess with it lol but I’d like to know what it is. There’s a ph range for soil as well as hydro. I understand soil is very forgiving. I’m just trying to have my plant as accessible to nutrients as possible is all. Go smoke something kingro and take a hike with your attitude. I’m not an expert I’m on my first grow. Chill man....chill wooosa!!!
The range is more of a guideline. The buffer they are referring to is controlled in your root zone, so as long as you are within reason, no need to sweat it. 7 is well within reason. That's all they are trying to say.

However, it seems like you are trying to grasp ph manipulation which I think is good in case you ever need to or switch mediums.

Unfortunately, I don't think you can with that set of nutes.

As long as you PH “ going in “ ( water / mixes ) you are fine.
Forget those soil meters ... if your soil choice is amended already with buffers ( most are ) just target 6.3 - 6.5 and stop overthinking. Most good bagged soil have oyster shell , dolomite lime for ph.

I just have a simple 3 way soil meter, yes. My water without being balanced is close to 8 so before I add my nutes I ph down to 6(I test with ph pen) then I add my nutes, but do not test. MGB claims to control the ph accordingly so...
Add your nutes to your tap water and then adjust pH to 6.5 for best results

What attitude, if i were writing stuff like 'you thick shit' and 'noob ass prick' id understand but simply dont come here and give me attitude over what reads as basic English and not an insult.

Now soil is a buffer not a ph, if you wont accept this then it will always seem like those that know here have an attitude :-)

Dropping water ph to extremes to adjust soil ph can/will kill the beneficial bacterias in soil,a little lime can help buffer your ph levels in soils.

Id assume most soils are made to tried and tested methods and as such will add lime at the correct ratio - if not all seedlings would strugghle and die and the name plant killer would be associated with it. Trust your brand or find one you do, thats one thing right off the bat you can make simple and easy :-)

It’s all good man! Cheers!
Your all stupid, except for like 4 guys and they got ignored!

Soil self pH's! UNLESS your pouring in feeds under like 5 or over 8....I would simply ignore it.
pH of any run off is simply the pH of the run off! AND, is a poor way to make any judgement call!

Bagged soil is pre-amended with everything it needs to self balance the plants needs.....You put the plant in the soil and it too plays a part in setting the soil's "resting point" pH.

Soil, when watered. Will swing down in pH by around a whole point or more!
As the soil dries back out. The soil will rise H back to it's "resting point"!

Wet soil will be lower in pH and keeping it wet or damp for too long......Low pH issues start to come in....First thing you'll see is high N issues.

Cannabis likes to set the soil's home pH at 6.5 to 7 and that is a range you don't fuck with....

So, if your feed pH is under 5 or over 8.....I would adjust it to 6.5

Soil will climb a bit in pH in bloom.

So in bloom, if you need to. pH feeds to 6.7

Different nutrients are available better at different pH values... This swing in the soil pH as you water. Allows for all nutrients to be available at proper levels for the plant. This is how in nature it works.

So, simply water and leave pH alone! Forget about soil pH unless it shows a problem.

I'll bet dimes to dollars> That any pH issue is from over feeding first!

If your using a cheap ph probe from Home Depot or something take it back if you can they are junk, just read the reviews most likely you could dip it in battery acid and it will still read 7.
A soil ph at 7 is actually a good thing imo most people add lime to their soil to buffer it at 7. Ph your plain water and your nute water to 6 and you’ll be fine. When you water at 6 ph in theory your soil will be 6 right after watering and slowly climb back up to 7 as it dries giving you a wide range of ph to ensure nutrient uptake. That is the best info I’ve been able to find online that actually makes sense.

Also from my experience if you can’t afford a expensive ph pen I would recommend trying drops. I use my aquarium drops even on nuted water it still reads just fine, way more accurate than the strips I bought.
