i love my airpots. aug 2017 5 gal pots were $15 cdn, 3 gal-$12, 2 gal $10. now they are almost double that if you can find it and some are trying to get 50-100 bucks each. i miss the the old day prices. good thing i have a reasonable supply on hand

what brand? I've never tried them. All I've used are 5 gallon buckets in the beginning then Fabric "Smart" Pots now.
I always like to try new things however.

Air pots the five gallon size have a design flaw in my eyes
They should be able to fit in a five gallon bucket for watering ease and they don't
I don't feel comfortable watering those whole things with a two inch catch pan
Not really seeing any difference from my hard plastic pots on yield either

anything that fit in to something that is 5 gallons, would have to be smaller than 5 gallons. maybe they don't want the grief of explaining why the product is smaller than it should be.

I suppose but I would have kept using them if they were a half inch smaller in diameter

Last I checked (maybe a year ago?) these fuckers were going for hundreds! Insanity. I waited them out, and it looks like the price is right now.

What's your thoughts on air pots?

Even cheaper.
Fabric pots are a cheap close rival and you can somewhat diy air pots, as far as I've read the most important part is plenty holes in the bottom to air prone tap root, being the greatest benefit of air pots. If anybody payed hundreds for those things they have too much money or not enough sense.

I can see them being a good thing, particularly for people prone to overwatering. Definitely wouldn't pay 100$ or anything close though lol.
