Need help choosing an RO system PLEASE.

Hey guys,
Just need a little help choosing an RO filtering system. I bought one a while ago with a little reservoir. Once the 7 litres or whatever is used up in the reservoir the flow drops down to a very slow trickle.
So my question is: can anyone recommend an RO system that has a constant flow (Not a trickle)? I will require up to 150 litres a day but dont want to wait all day to get it lol.

Any help is greatly appreciated!!

Just setup a barrel with a float valve. Pop a spigot on it, set it on some cement blocks. Pop a pump in there to circulate the water. Now you have a stash of filtered water just waiting for you.

Or buy an expensive RO filter with much more GPD capacity.

Ohhh really. I heard you can get the RO system with a little booster pump? To increase flow?

And no unfortunately 3rd Monkey, hardly rains where i am.

Haha, done that a time or 2 myself.

I don't know. I've heard so many positive reviews on RO water, negatives on the systems that process it.

For your sake, I hope they do lol.

That or build a still lol. Distilled water is pretty good too I guess.

My limited understanding on ro systems and some reading i did a few years ago suggested that the harder the water source was the harder( slower) the system worked.

Aslo remember something about running a ro system on soft water helped both flow and filter life......

At that point, why even use an RO system lol.

I have a well, but it's double filtered ($30 for both) before my pressure tank. I have 24ppm at the tap. I often wondered why folks don't just do that? I don't know how city water works, but couldn't you do the same thing?

Maybe not at the water main, but anywhere on the line that is accessible?

24ppm hasn't seemed to hurt anything. Filters are easy to install. Just curious if you know anything about it.

What about any other type of undersink filters? My tap water is just over 400ppm and at times you can see floaties throughout the water lol. I usually use 10 litre bottles of distilled water and dilute it 50/50 and drops the ppm to about 200. Just looks a bit suss where I am going into the shop once a week and buying 15 10litre distilled waters haha. Plus over time the savings on buying water would outweigh the cost of a decent filtering system.

You just beat me 3rd Monkey lol. Yeah maybe an under sink inline filter of some sort? If it filters out half the crap in the water ill be happy.

That's what I'm saying. Couldn't you just put a filter in under there?

Yea it would be better than nothing but i imagine the RO filtering system would be much better. But if it takes all day to get 30 or 40 litres then it's not realistic in my situation. Looks like i might have to go with an inline filter!? Thanks 3rd Monkey! And everyone else for the input! That includes you Renfro! Haha.

Hey 3rd Monkey, I went out today and bought an activated carbon? Filter. Meant to remove chlorine etc. Hooks up to your outside hose so nice and easy. My tap water went from 400 ppm to 375 ppm! Haha. Bit stumped on what to do now. The water here is shit lol. I think reverse osmosis is the only thing thatl help me!? Maybe a semi commercial RO system would work? I know their like $1500 but im currently spending about $60 a week on distilled water so my thinking is its a matter of time till it pays itself off....?

Activated carbon is mostly for taste and smell. You need a ceramic filter or even a fiber one with a low micron rating.
