As i said, i’m a pacifist so i will not condone owning guns but farms have guard dogs or should have guard dogs against these predators. Why exactly would you need guns when you can use electric fences, various siren like devices, guard dogs etc etc. As you see, i think there are other answers than owning a gun. And those populations have been under control until humans meddled in.It's not necessary to take all guns away from people in the US. There is a large and avid hunting community for example. At farms and ranches in very remote areas, people use guns to control predator and pest populations (coyotes, for example). Also because they live at the end of a remote country road where there are no law officials within reasonable response time they have them for self defense.
Canadians have adequate gun laws that enable people with a legitimate reason for owning a gun to do so without flooding the country with mass killing machines like the AR-15 and hand guns. It doesn't sound like New Zealand is contemplating a full on gun ban but probably will tighten restrictions on military-style weapons of mass murder.
@Roger A. Shrubber , there is no way that one person with a knife could have killed 50 people and put another 50 in the hospital in his 10 minute murder spree. Also the Las Vegas killer would have had a hard time hurting anybody from his window in that hotel. Regulating guns isn't an answer to mankind's propensity to kill each other but it sure does cut down the number at risk. Also, using a knife is not simply a matter of walking into a room and opening fire like the mass murderers with their semi-automatic rifles do.
That said, the times that a determined murderer used a car or truck shows that you are right in that mass killings won't end with gun regulations. I just want to see the US gun homicide rate approach that of other developed countries like Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Britain. I think that is the objective gun regulations, not ending all mass murder although I wouldn't oppose that.
Why should a person who never harmed anybody and never intends to do so be prevented from hunting with a rifle or using one to take out a predator that is harming his livestock? As i said, i’m a pacifist so i will not condone owning guns but farms have guard dogs or should have guard dogs against these predators. As for hunters, let them hunt with bow and arrow if they so choose to do. I think hunting is a despicable act when done as a sport. And a very brutal act in general. So i would rather see these hunters risk their life a bit to take the life of another. But if one needs to hunt to sustain oneself, but i mean really needs to hunt. No other way of getting a reliable protein source ok lets give that person a gun if he chooses to own one. No need to make people suffer when you have the technology. Other than that, no, there is no need for guns imo.
Wild meat is the very best to be had. The ultimate free-range. Pretty much chem free. Why should a person who never harmed anybody and never intends to do so be prevented from hunting with a rifle or using one to take a predator that is harming his livestock?
I hunt with a speargun and have the same opinion of the game I take. Fish in the supermarket isn't fresh enough.Wild meat is the very best to be had. The ultimate free-range. Pretty much chem free.
Good lady.My wife came up with this funny comment after I described an earlier post stating that I like guns, love to hunt and shoot things (EVERY animal I have killed, I killed it to eat, and did)
I take responsibility for my carnivorous nature, (just think about that next time you go to McDonalds).
Anyway, this is what she said (one of the reasons I love her, she's so witty)
"I don't believe in guns, I'd rather choke the bitch with my bare hands"
I'm going to create a bumper sticker online, seriously.
Anyone want, PM me and we'll make it work
You project more than a dive in movie theater. Sorry to hear about your tiny penis.Oh everyone should know about your obscure references. Can’t you write something without these: ‘ ‘
Do you have a voice of your own.
By the way if you are quoting someone, thats the wrong one to use.
That predator became overpopulated because you took its land and killed its prey. So its now hungry and trapped and you have the meat and the land. Just leave its prey and its land alone. Take precautions if you want to be there. There are non lethal ones. Or a second choice. If we want to hunt for our food then lets abolish industrial animal farming and just let people hunt for the meat. Sorry but i think we need to make sacrifices if we want to progress (also if we want to exist at this point). Either just leave the nature alone or lets turn back to it completely. Either way we will be better off than we are now i think. Why should a person who never harmed anybody and never intends to do so be prevented from hunting with a rifle or using one to take out a predator that is harming his livestock?

You cannot be thinking that we can just exploit the worlds resources endlessly and share it poorly and continue to exist. That will not happen. If we are gonna choose the “civil” world then guns needs to go and hunting for sport or for the meat (even when you can get reliable and quality protein near you) needs to go too. This voice of a spoiled child who always says “me me me” is leading us on the dark path of our self destruction.
No i’m bi and you are not funny or entertaining.Gay.
I know.No i’m bi and you are not funny or entertaining.

He's such an edge-lord.a bi pacifist. ???
holy shit, private pyle, is that a jelly dougnut in your foot locker??
Agree with you that modern day agricultural practices are the largest threat to the natural world, especially in the US. Managed hunting is not. Sport hunters that obey regulations aren't a threat to wildlife other than the few they take for the table. Getting back to agricultural practices that are harming the natural world, wouldn't land management practices, pesticides, herbicides and fertilizer runoff be the real causes? That predator became overpopulated because you took its land and killed its prey. I love me some cod. But, my favorite is some wild trout straight from the river. Toss it under some coals for an hour. Pink and juicy. Wrap it in some foil with some garlic and lemon. Meat just melts off the bones. Omfg.tell me about it. safeway "fresh" fish is at least a week old.
so what's your favorite tasting fish to take? wifey and i love black cod. especially smoked on a bagel with cream cheese
Those two have no corelation. Just because you feel there is a connection between someones world views and sexual orientation does not make it true. My world views are unrelated to my sexual orientation and my sexual orientation is a tiny piece of who i am.a bi pacifist. ???
holy shit, private pyle, is that a jelly dougnut in your foot locker??
for sure. and they would gladly pay for license fees and duck stamps and extra rod fees that pay for game wardens to arrest the assholes that violate regs. of which there are many.Sport hunters that obey regulations aren't a threat to wildlife other than the few they take for the table
that's cool man whatever floats your boat. Those two have no corelation. Just because you feel there is a connection between someones world views and sexual orientation does not make it true. My world views are unrelated to my sexual orientation and my sexual orientation is a tiny piece of who i am.
maybe it's just cause i've eaten so much trout from around here that i'm worn out on them but i really love northern pike. pain in the ass to clean but great tasting. same with walleye.I love me some cod.
