First plant , Why the crazy leaves?

I hope someone can help me I started this plant on my window sill , I have never grown before so didn’t think it would grow . I have no idea what strain it was a bag seed from who knows when . It started growing pretty quickly. But then started to die probably lack of sunlight . So I bought a tent 2x2x4 and a 600 watt led full spectrum light ,And a vent system. It’s growing in a soil for tomatoe plant I bought from a home store . And water every 2-3 days depending on moister levels in the soil . My lights run 12/12 and plants have been in there for 2.5 weeks. My ph has been running around 6.5-7 but recently climbed to 7-8. Not sure if it was because last watering I added flower booster to the water. But my leaves are all deformed not sure why or it’s ok here are a few pics .

Im a first timer also. How long did you keep it in veg stage? 12/12 is for flower. Veg is 18 on 6 off. Looks like you got lucky and got a female. I am still waiting on mine to show the signs.

Mine is also from random seed. You definitely have an Indica. Mine is as well. A couple pics of the size of the plant would be helpful i think.

It looks like you got a little too much nitrogen. I wouldn’t add anything. Just straight water when the pots feel light. Not completely dry but dry.

Looks like you did a lot of defoliating. From what i have learned so far just do what chrimsonecho said until your leaves lighten up a bit. Dis you start this plant in the tent on a 12on 12 off schedule?

Looks like you did a lot of defoliating. From what i have learned so far just do what chrimsonecho said until your leaves lighten up a bit. Dis you start this plant in the tent on a 12on 12 off schedule?

It lost all its leaves while on the window sill ,except the top leaves on one stem . And started showing pistols. So I started it in the tent at12/12

It does look like a bit like reveg but in a tent with 12/12 why would it.

When did it start showing its gender?
How long was it in your window?
Was there any other ambient room light? If so what would you estimate the total number of light hours it was seeing before you put her in the tent?

What are your temps like? Hot?
Canopy temps too.

Otherwise yes, likely a light leak.

There's some external cause, i wouldn't write it off as genetics. Seems pretty unlikely to me.

Not sure when it started to show it's gender . I honestly dropped the weed in a plant pot I had put it in the window and forgot all about it . My wife watered it from time to time she said and she's the one that told me it was dying I had forgot all about it . When I looked at it ,it has already showed hairs . So I bought the stuff and put it in 12/12 right away . I would say it was in the window for around 9 weeks and has been in tent almost three weeks . The light it was getting in there window wasn't great and maybe only 10 or so hours a day .

I will check for light leaks ,thanks . I did not defoliate the plant it did it on its own. it only had two leaves and a baby bud starting on its tallest branch and was bare everywhere else. I assumed it was dying . But when I put it in the tent in the 12/12 cycle it started growing leaves and buds

I'm growing indoors plenty of a/c the temps stay around 74-76 in the tent with lights on and 72 when there off my R humidity is around 54. I will check for light leaks thanks

The prob is right there in the pics. The 5th one shows a leaf with PM. You got powdery mildew... likely caused indirectly by watering way too much.

That looks like nitrogen damage from the transplant,newer growth doesn't have that as badly. Leaves only have 3 nodes, growth is badly retarded.
Even the switch to 12/12 was probably so much light after the window sill, the plant went into reveg briefly is a guess.
What's the goal, keep it alive thru spring and plant the herbs outside? That plant won't yield much. Your herbs will be in bloom on 12/12.
I'd reveg it till it bulks up, or chop it and start an auto on 18/6 if that's an indoor herb tent, or organic supplements grow.

Start herbs from seeds or quarantined cuttings, the nursery plants will have vermin and diseases. I'd toss the whole lot outside in the spring, and spray with bleach before the next crop.
Sage is prone to PM, i'd take that out and keep sulphur spraying the area with all that other greenery going on in there.
With the herbs still in nursery packing, they could be harboring or breeding anything up under there, transplant them and open things up , or get em out of there.

I got rid of the herbs , they were something my wife was messing with . I got the tent , lights and exhaust to save the pot plant . Hahaha . I will let it finish flowering in the tent . I’m not expecting much from it but I have ordered some seeds from the vault and should be arriving in a couple weeks if everything goes as planed. They aren’t auto flower . But will put them under the light for 18/6 I’m using a 600 watt full spectrum led . Should I get another 600 watt you think ?
