Sure. The genetics of the strain parents will show in the offspring in differing degrees. Those are called phenotypes.
Example. Brothers and sisters of the same parents. They are all related and have traits of the parents, sometimes grandparents, etc, yet are all different in different ways.
Works the same with plants. Each gets different traits. That's why there are clone only strains. Specific phenotypes that are chosen for yield, potency, taste, aroma, etc.
Those phenotypes are often used as breeders and then thousands of those seeds raised to find that 1 or 2 that are the special ones, similar to world class athletes.
