LED strip gurus around here? Stop by and check out this vertical setup that needs tweaking!!

I think I'll come out cheaper going to home Depot and asking them to build a custom light or them recommending me where to go

I’m a master electrician in Canada. I can tell you for a straight fact. Homedepot won’t even know where to start on this. They barely know how to hang a light let alone design one. I have ideas on how to build the proper fixture but it’s way to complex to even attempt to describe from my head

I found this as well. But it’s also $560 plus shipping. Add that to the cost of everything else he’s talking about doing. Just the cost of a true High pressure aeroponic and the LEDs. Interested to see him actually attempt to build this

We are talking pipe dreams...aren't we? Money isn't an issue in that case. 8)

I mean you don’t need the fixture to fully spin. You want to hang 9 light bars correct. Therefore 360 degrees /9 = 40 degrees of rotation. So theoretically you could have the fixture go left and right 40 degrees and not fully around. Means you won’t need a slip ring connector. Just have a hanging loop for each power cord to allow for the 40 degrees of rotation

Guys this is 100% happening I have the funds for this project I just need guidance to make it really come to life

I didn't say it wasn't possible, I was referring to reliability over a practical solution. It's just not worth the fuck around as opposed to running some more light bars to get the even coverage

Ah...now we get into the discussion about light movers. Some people like them...some people don't. Not in the mood for that discussion...

If you absolutely have to have rotating lights then maybe look at how a merry-go-round works. It will be much stronger having the motors and drivers underneath rather than hanging. I don't see the point in rotating the lights other than wow factor

Yes..leds are cheap now, and rotating devices with lights...I think they are prone to accidents...
