So... I messed up a little

I took a bunch of bubble hash that I made and decided to put it into everclear. Now i have a bunch of everclear with hash in it and i forgot to de-carb!
Is there a way that I could fix this lol?
I was thinking heating the alcohol to decarb temp outside on a heat plate or something, but i think it would all just evaporate? if I evaporate the alcohol I was thinking i could then decarb the hash and then put it back into alcohol?

other thoughts include using this in some sort of recipe I have had it in the alcohol for probably like 4-5 months lol I should really do something with it!

ok this makes sense, basically using the alcohol to extract the crystals, then boiling off that alcohol slowly thus activating the THC and turning it into an oil

Cool i'll be doing this today thank you!
I was interested in taking the end product and using it in some vegetable glycerine and making some edibles and stuff! this stuff should be super potent lol rock on!

Make sure you filter out the hash with a coffee filter or something before you try to cook off the alcohol or you will have a gross mess. Then you can mix the resulting extract that you get with butter or oil or glycerine for edibles.

In the future if you have decent bubble hash, you could skip the whole alcohol step and just add the hash to the butter/oil/glycerin.

Another option would be to leave some of the alcohol and use this as a tincture. Just cook off most of the alcohol to reduce the volume and increase the potancy.

Or you could use it as is mixed with the everclear and add shots to mixed drinks. Usually people use green material so they call it "green dragon" I suppose since yours is made with hash it might be amber dragon, or brown dragon?

Thundercat man thanks alot you definitely answered everything I was wondering in your first post! So instead of boiling it down to RSO I could potentially leave the hash in there and use it as a tincture because the heating of it will activate it I will do this I think !
I made it pretty strong so I might have to add more alcohol in order to get the tincture to the correct temps?

oh shit wait, what if i just take the vegetable glycerin and mix it with my amber dragon then heat it, the alcohol would leave then I could use this as gummies?

what i really would like to do is beat that decarb step and activate the THC without having to do much work hhaha. I see some glycerine recipes telling you to warm it for 24 hours with no De-carb.
I would just be taking a crock pot and a jar with my alcohol+ vegetable tincture and heating it for a day lol what do you think?>

I would not mix the alcohol and glycerin personally. I have know idea what would happen. I definitely think that could make it harder to seperate the alcohol out.

Next time just plan what you are doing before you do it ;). You totally could have put the hash and glycerin in a crockpot for 24 hours in the first place, and that would have extracted the hash into the glycerin, and decarbed it(or at least close) then when you cooked with it a little more decarb should happen too.

awesome man so ill probably just make this alcohol hash into a strong tincture and then next time ill use my glycerine for another extraction. I appreciate your help man thanks alot

No problem at all bud. If the tincture is too strong just dilute it with a little more alcohol until you get the desired effect.

I am hearing up the everclear right now in a crock pot with a Mason jar on top of a cloth with water surrounding the jar. I have an immersion thermometer and I am going to attempt to get the solution to decarb temps

20190602_140420.jpg much appreciated advice thundercat luckily I do a lot of hot work between brazing refrigerant lines for HVAC and going to high school for welding so I know to be careful with explosions which is why I wanted to ask about the alcohol expansion in the first place ! Here we go its warming up

I'm doing this outside in a crock pot to avoid exploding lol

Gaining temp. Turned pot down to low now to creep up the temp. What temp do I want to achieve and how long? The water boils 212 so would 200deg alcohol for an hour sufficiently decarb it?
