standard 1 mg dose? High Times says this, "You can assume good market pot to have 18 percent THC; that is, for every gram of pot you have roughly 180 mg of THC. Accounting for at least 60 percent loss due to burning, you can expect a full bowl to deliver 18 mg of THC. Split it with a friend, and you each get almost 10 mg." And we all know that High Times is trustworthy. Beats the shit out of me. All I know is an oz of weed makes strong brownies.

i tend to agree with this line of thinking.. makes zero logical sense to me that 25% or what have you of a bud in weight is actual thc, but rather 25% of all cannabinoids is thc, but what do i know?

If you think about it, there are commonsense reasons why these limits exist. When appropriately labeled, cannabis products tell you how much THC, CBD, or other compounds are present as a percentage of the dry weight of that product. If the flower you buy is labelled as having 25% THC by dry weight, it means that 25% of the mass of the flower, after it has been dried to remove water, comes from THC. That means 75% of its dry weight comes from other things: fats, carbs, proteins, vitamins, and minerals. All that stuff. More THC or CBD means less of those things, which the plant depends on for survival.

That is the dosage of the synthetic THC such as Marinol. It's an identical chemical to delta9 thc...as I understand it. That's where I got that number.

But wouldn't it be nice to have an ounce of 20% by weight THC. That'd be some killer stuff...

Everybody has made bubble hash before, it's not too hard to believe that the % is weight. An oz of weed you are going to get over 4 grams of really good hash easy, and that would be 15%. Also when you get weed tested the % of the different cannaboids don't add up wo 100% so you know it's not the % of thc from the total.

So (21 x 0.20 x 0.75 x 1000)/32 = about 100 mg/ Tbsp

This will give you milligrams per whatever unit your using.

When I make oil or butter I make it overly strong. You can always add less to your recipe.
When I bake I work backward from the number of servings. Say you’re making 60 toll house cookies (Yummm) and you want each cookie to have 25 Mgs. Then you want to add 1500mgs. If each Tbsp of you canna butter has 100 mgs then you add 15 tbsps. As it turns out the recipe calls for 2 sticks that’s 16 tbsp so there you go.

This in my opinion is the best answer you are going to get and probably pretty accurate without testing.

Winner!!! This is the answer.

Personally I prefer to use concentrates to make my canna butter. The butter won't get the plant material taste.

how much of bubble hash is pure thc though?

Guessing out of my ass I would say between 70 and 90%. When I am feeling indulgent I make the blond hash and there is almost nothing left in the bowl when you're done. I don't really need hash that pure to be honest and just use one bag instead of the 3 keeper sizes.
