Sorry for going dark there. Lawn work over the past couple of days. Hopefully I can finish all that shit this afternoon.

I have a 2' (W) x 4' (L) x 5' (H) housing two ladies in 5 gallon Home Depot buckets. The ladies get woven until the 2' x 4' SCROG net is almost totally filled. Then flip ...

LED - 2 Viparspectra DS600 Dimmable - almost 290 wall watts each fixture. ​

The SCROG net is about 21" above the bottom of the tent floor. 5" at the top of the tent is lost to the light fixture height ( a smidge > 3" ) and hanging hardware. I like to keep the light about 14" above the canopy - any closer tends to yellow some leaves so there appears to be some IR burn if they are any closer than 14".

All boiled down - I've got 20" of actual plant growth space. And since I flip when the plants are at the level of the net, that 20" is entirely for the flower stretch.

The photoperiod strains I have on the grow now stretch about 18" (Red Diesel) and 20" (Blue Cheese). I picked these strains to match my environment since flower stretch was a big factor. The lights are slowly raised during the stretch so that by the time I am at the 4th week of flower, the lights are at the top of the tent and I have my 14" between plant canopy and lights.

The carbon filer and extraction fan outside the tent to help maximize all available grow space.

I feel for u! I have 1/2 acre to mow. If that ain’t bad enough, we have a mole infestation: I removed 21 hills b4 mowing; went out the next morning to find 17 new ones...
Can’t bring myself to set traps or poison them, just a shame they decided to tunnel out my garden.

Anyway, mustn’t grumble; could be a lot worse (living in a flat somewhere with only a balcony to call your great outdoors).

Soz for chiming in again. U say u flip when the plant is level with the net; does that mean that all the weaving is done after the flip?

Not sure about the LARF thing. Do u just prune like that below the screen or also when scrogging on the horizontal branches, so u basically cut all growth tips of and just keep the 8 mains?

U keep all the shade leaves on the horizontal and vertical stretch until harvest?

All the weaving is done before the flip to 12/12. Weaving is done to make sure as much of the net is filled with as many potential bud site as possible. When my net is almost completely filled to the point that I cannot see the floor below when I look at them from above, it's time to flip. At this point, my horizontal growth will become vertical growth.

LARF is the small lower buds that didn't get too much light and didn't develop into the real fat chubby buds but they still put out some trichomes and are still usable. LARF is great to use when you want to test or when you are waiting for the tops to cure or when you are making oils for edibles.

Once flower stretch is well underway, I lollipop everything below the net. Leaves, bud, branches ... snip it all off. After Week 3, I do some selective pruning above the net. You can see the small and thin branches that are going to be light squeezed by the larger branches. Since they won't get enough light to grow into anything decent, I'll find the start of that branch and snip it off completely.

Pretty well yes. You end up with about 30 really good sized tops per plant. Here's my current ladies - week 6 ends tomorrow.

I don't prune fan leaves anymore. After trying it both ways, I reside in the camp of those who let the plant cannibalize the lower fan leaves then discard them. So when I water/feed, I will just pluck the discarded fans. That does increase trimming time but I find the difference in the finished product worth it.

Geez, what can I say apart from a huge thanks!
Ready to go now; done the 8-cola manifold already; leaving it for a few weeks whilst training the plant and then put it back indoors; Trying to save a bit on the lecky. Besides, she’s romping off in the greenhouse. Shame the summer don’t last long enough to keep the plant in the greenhouse til harvest...

Hey Rainbow...how do you tell if you have moles or gophers? Somebody is digging up my yard. I watched Caddyshack and am prepred to launch an attack.

I’m growing Lambsbread Collie, so Sativa as well. U flipped yet?

About the whole mole / gophers thing:
If the mounds of dirt are round, symmetrical and conical, like miniature volcanoes, then I have a mole.
If the dirt mounds when viewed from above are crescent or horseshoe shaped then u have a gopher; never had them.

Few ways to get rid of mole:
- stick kids windmills in the holes, they hate the vibration of the windmill. My dads way; he swore by it. I never done it coz u end up with a multicoloured mini wind farm in ur yard.
- put vinegar down the holes. Tried that a few times, works for a while....
I’ve given up raging a war against them , live an let live...

When to flip...that's the question on my mind. I have 5 Matanuska TF nearing complation. Soon as I pull them...my sats go into 12/12. Brown pistils but all clear trichs.

I'm an old fart. I saw Bob Marley and the Wailers live playing at the outdoor stadium at San Diego State. Smoked some Columbian as well as a hit off the many joints that were in open circulation. Beautiful sunny day and Bob was doing his story telling through dance thing. Perfect acoustics...perfect day...
