Help needed to determine harvest period. Long Post

Here are some information for my grow.

Medium:
-DWC feeding ionic bloom with PK booster at the recommended dosage coming around 800-1000ppm
Roots are doing good
-Water change every around 1 week sometime 2 week

Strain:
Northern Light by Ministry of Cannabis although it does not look like NL leaf cause it look more sativa dominant but this is my 1st grow and all so I am not too sure.

Light schedule:
12/12 for 9 week going into 10th week

Light used:
EB gen 2 at 90+-% power of 120W

Corrected problems:
-Early flower; root rot (corrected with Great White)
-Nitrogen toxicity mid-ish flower (corrected with pk booster cause the N ratio on the bloom nutrient was a little too high. I heard this can cause flowering to be postponed but I am unsure if this is the case.

Semi-corrected problem:
-Stretching too far cause I underestimated the "Stretch", tried correcting it by LST but only managed to correct this problem a little bit.
-Heat wave, the grow tent is hovering between 27-29C
-Humidity around 60%

Post purpose:
-I have read on when to harvest, most of them recommend looking at the trichs but my plant does not produce as much trichs as I wanted and to be honest I don't know if it is producing any trichs due to my inexperienced(may be due to the lack of UV light or high temp or just me doing a poor job of growing it).
-Then there are some that says for the pistils color change, which should tell me that it is not ready to harvest yet as most of the top pistils are white beside the lower branch that are not receiving direct light; they are turning orange
-Then some says wait till the plant "die" which is when she stop taking in water? Not too sure about this one

Answer that I am looking for:
Harvest window, flush window.

Posted picture:
-Some are accompanied with a zippo for size reference.
-There are buds that is buried under leaf making it hard to take picture but the size is around a brand new toothpaste?
-The closeup is done via 30X scope.

First grows are for learning. It sounds like you've learned quite a bit with the various problems you've faced.

I had to search for the light you said you are using. After seeing it I think that is likely a big part of your challenge in producing larger buds and trichs. It's >just not enough light<, IMO.

Too little light will cause massive stretch....and then the light doesn't penetrate very far back down into the plant. The taller the plant gets...the less light the bottom gets. Start out by not having enough light in the first place....and the problem just compounds itself as the grow goes along.

And like Turbo says...you are a long way off from any sort of harvest. Unfortunately...without more light....the buds aren't going to grow much more in size. Certainly not like you envisioned/hoped.

But like I say....it's all a learning experience. Try to fix what is lacking and try again.

I see, the lights are based on https://ledgardener.com/diy-led-strip-build-designs-samsung-bridgelux/#more-2416 for 2x2 so I thought I was good on that part I guess don't trust the internet too much.
I can't add anymore light to this one simply due to lack of any space, but for the next grow I plan put in an extra cree cob or do you recommend 2 cob either way I'll put more on the next grow.
Then what should I do with this grow in particular? I don't really want to scrap it cause it have been growing for so long.

It certainly was a learning experience I am not gonna lie, never knew growing "weed" would take so much effort. I'll try out mainlining for the next grow and flower way earlier cause this one grow out of hand during flowering.

In all honesty....those nugs look like they are at about 3 week in...not 9. Did you happen to have a problem with your timer/etc along the way. some of those shots look liike the plant tried to re-veg/got confused. The single-blade leaves...the wimpy "stacking"....all signal that it just didn't get it together in some way, shape, or form. the plants LOOK Ok...green....no pest damage...no nutrient burn...etc. you did OK there.... so it's >something< else. What seeds are they? If it's bag seed.....that might be some of it as well. You never know what yer growing with bag seeds.

I don't know what to tell you to do with this grow. I get that you have a lot of time invested/etc. Is there anyway you can set up another small area...maybe with just a florescent...and get the next round going while this one decides what it is doing and hopefully...at least finishes? I honestly don't think you'll see them bulk up/etc. after all this time...so at some point...you';ll have to make the call and start again.I would probably stop all ferts and just try to get em to finish over the next few weeks.....and try again.

I checked the timer multiple time and I don't see any problem, they are bought from ministry of cannabis so no not bag seed. I believe the single blade leaf is due to it being late in flowering. As for light leak, I don't know what to tell you man, my tent is cover with another cloth on the outside meaning it have 2 layers of fabric cause I am paranoid that way.
I can't start another grow soon anyway cause I need to start my internship during October. I plan to start my next grow next year.

I would like to suggest a 315 CMH. I started using it on my last grow, and it worked out well. They don't break the bank either

That was my 1st choice but the tent in inside my room and I live in a tropical country meaning it is summer all year long, long story short I don't want to heat up my whole room with it. Thanks for the advice anyway.

I mean I use measly 75w in a 2x2 (Vero 18s) and I get light-stress and burn/toast the buds if I come closer than 4” and they are turned down to 15w each.

Sure, my grow and light isnt optimal but with a 2 plant grow I got 67g dried on my second grow and thats with one plant having very bad genetics.

However, my tent is 3.5ft high and that obviously means light will be close. I cant have a setup with cobs running at full needing 15-18” from plants.

If that is indeed the case, the total problem with this grow is as follow:
-Messed with the dimming during vegging(don't mess with the dimmer it will fuck you up if you don't know what you are doing)
-Root rot
-Nit tox during flowering (Didn't think the supplement recommended by the nutrient was a compulsory and not a supplement, cause if I don't add the pk booster the npk of the base is very n heavy)
-bad genetic

-Veg for too long(6w instead of 4w and running into a stretching problem)
-Maybe not enough light?

All these combo into the shittiest grow, I guess you live and learn. I'll buy 2 extra cree cob for my next grow, and employ mainlining for the next grow.

I think the root rot is the main problem. Looking at the last picture it doesnt look very happy at all, very droopy.

I wanted to try ”hydro” and opted for hempybuckets because I knew that temperatures is a problem. LED is also my only option or it will break.

Vertical height seems to be the trick into getting better temps, just got a new tent and it gives me about 10” extra height and that has given me 3-4c temp drop.

The roots are looking fine, I changed the rez just now and the roots are slightly brown with the newer roots white and there are no significant dead roots in the rez when I lifted the whole thing up. Speaking from experience, when there is root rot, there will be lots of tiny dead roots with the ph dropping each time you check it. That is currently not the case so I don't think it is a root problem.

Edit: the droopy look is due to the tent pushing against the leaf, cause the exhaust fan is a little on the strong side so the side of the tent get sucked in causing it to press against the leaf and some of the leaf are droppy due to nitrogen tox earlier on the flowering.

Kinda on the same side with temperature tbh, living in the equator sucked ass man. Good to know that getting a new tent helped out, what do you think of the hempybucket? Cause I am a little fed up with hydro, everything is fine till your plant grow too high and getting it out of the tent to change water become a risk of snapping a branch off. That is a big Yikes for me man.

For me hempy works out great. First I was abit afraid of heat and stagnating water but I havent had any problem.

I had the same problem as you do now. First I grew in soil and had to move the plants every watering and I realized I cant go on because they get too big and that I cant have plants standing and rinsing off due to smell.

Now I just elevate the ”pots” slightly and collect the run-off in a separate container. Sure in late flower I had to water them every other day but its litterally just mix nutrients, put it in the hempy and zip the trnt up again 30 min later collect the water.

Glad I did, super easy and grows like crazy compared to soil.
