Well..I wrote few post ago some information about other threat in this forum where some reputable member (randomblame) noticed that more than 1 watt per square meter during 5 minutes is needed for an effective EOD. Also I have my own experience of course.

Don't know what to tell you, I've run up to 14/10 light schedule using very little 730 without issue for years. My very first 730 light I used about 1 watt per 7 sq/ft and those 730 LEDs were hard to source and much less output than the current gen, that's why I said quality 730 in my post. If you buy some low quality 730 off aliexpress you may need more.
I remember that Randomblame wrote about accumulative effects of far red...I mean..if you add more watts..the effect increase... but there is a point where shade avoidance response appears...also different varieties should react different...Anyway...seems that the correct use of far red for EOD is somekind tricky...and using it for example 5 minutes over 1 square meter would only need a few watts..Maybe the effect start at 1 watt for some varieties like in your case..but also the effect probably is harder with 5 watts and still no elongation...maybe my sativas need more than a watt.. to benefit from a full two hours more of darkness. But...what is for certain is that if you abuse far red doses..and is easy to do it... for example 10 watts for 10 minutes in 1 square meter could lead to severe elongation in some strains… I think every one has to find the sweet spot with full effects and minimum elongation .
