Planning on cloning my plants. I have an HLG 100 v2. Was wondering if it would be to much for the plants. And at what height should I keep? Planning on getting on Amazon their heat pad/ dome kit. They have ones w t5 fixtures but I’m tryna avoid buying another light.

Buy the one with the light and you won't regret it later. But you can place the tray, dome, and heat pad near a window that doesn't get direct sunlight.

LED is the future for a lot of reasons. But after researching and watching I can guarantee you that about $250 to get a 1000 watt HPS with an Eye Hortilux bulb is going to get bud it would take about a grand or so in quality LED to do.

If you are looking for cheap and effective.

The problem with cloning under a powerful light is that the cuttings will cannibalize their selves too fast. If they go through the only nutrition they have stored in their leaves, they die off before you have good enough roots to transplant.

This makes a lot of sense. I’m just gonna go w the t5 combo. It’s not much of a difference anyways

That hlg will work perfect for clones. Just run it about 30 inches above your clones

Yeah its fine. Just remember clones don't need much light. Keep it well above the plants.

clones prefer less lumens than regular plants,i use 1 40 watt 2 foot long flouro,have for years.

Just hang the hlg 100 2ft - 2ft 6 inches away and you'll be sweet.
