Technically, it's what he deserved. He failed to report a crime. That was basically it. He also turned on the others, which is in large part why many of them went to jail as well.

It's not that difficult to understand. You must be quite uneducated and/or mentally challenged (or both) to have this hard a time grasping basic information.
