Will things ever change?

You are such as asshole please do us all a favor and go kill your self. What ever it takes. This thread is full of useful ideas on how you could do it. Firearms, prescription drugs or perhaps your favorite, meth.
I understand you want to pick a fight that you can’t win but can feel righteous losing. Like a fat chick doing a diet of the week fad. There will never be any meaningful gun control in America. Never. I prefer to look at what I think are the real reasons we have these problems so you tell me to kill myself? Lol, ok buddy. I guess I won’t share my lunch with you. For fcks sake gtfu

His 1, 2, and 3 were bullshit though. But I think the idea behind trying to understand the real issue and fixing that needs to be prioritized.
You don’t see the difference in America say 30 years ago and now? I see more stressed Americans who are sick, angry, openly racist and hurtful, taking more meds then is by any stretch of the imagination sane. To top it off they are barely scraping by with their wives working and you have a lunatic in the White House telling white supremacy assholes that they are good people.

Half of my kids were born in another country but my two youngest were born here and they wanted to give my wife 2 weeks of OxyContin like they were tic-tacs. She wasn’t even in pain. That is not normal.

Treat animals like shit, prode them, feed them shit food, pump them full of drugs and see how many flip out.

What do you guys think Is going to happen? They ban guns? More checks?

so are you saying that it is within the realm of reality to fix all sickness, anger, racism, a corrupt pharmaceutical/healthcare system, and a government that is corrupt up the very highest office, but yet it is not within the realm of reality to have any meaningful gun control in America? or are you just saying that we're all fucked no matter what?

I don't think gun control is the answer, I really don't. Without changing the culture and society which produces these monsters it is not going to do anything. Japan basically has no handguns (not entirely true) and almost no gun violence, yet 33 people were killed the other week by some asshole who thought an animation studio stole his novel. We have a mass murder there every 5 years or so. My point is Japan is one of the safest, most peaceful places on the planet and we can't prevent crazy from happening. The problem is America has too many crazy people. Without dealing with that problem head on you aren't going to solve anything. Timothy Mcveigh didn't use a gun (though he must have had a shit load).

1)Why are Americans sick?
2)Why are Americans crazy?
3)Why do Americans hate each other?
4)Why are Americans stressed?

I think all of us have ideas about the answers to these questions. Solve these problems and you solve 90% of the gun problem without getting rid of them. Solve none of them and guns disappear tomorrow and you have axe murders, knife murders, etc. One crazy little piss-ant loser in Japan who probably weighed 150 wet killed 17 people with a car and a knife.

That being said, vote out the republicans for all the other reasons you should. Your children's future.
Too many guns.

Too many guns

Too many guns

Too many guns

Too many guns

But you are invited to shoot yourself if you have a gun. I have no issues with gun owners killing themselves.

You need a new tune. I bet your nut huggers are even worn out by that one.
Yeah, we know you trump dick suckers get all horny when you imagine having the power Trump did over those teenage girls. What Trump did was a sick display of the unequal power in his relationship with them. That you see nothing wrong with it just shows us what your kind are like.

No I actually believe those are the things we can fix because we have not hung our identity on being sick, scared, poor, fat things.

I think the correlation is directly linked also with internet access and computer power. We are now much more aware of everyone's ills as a whole. And the people that are sick or just vulnerable are more easily accessed by people who would use them via chat rooms instead of having to try to find them in real life.

There have always been people who kill themselves with drugs/alcohol, the Oxy push was nuts, but they have always pushed new drugs like cocaine on patients.

For sure I think that’s part of it, the crap people watch and listen to. Like a guy I know who thinks 9’11 didn’t happen because he listens to Alex Jones.

Its like that war of the worlds thing they had on the radio way back in the day that scared everyone who heard it as thinking the world was actually under invasion by aliens. People are easy to trick, technology has just made it so much easier to target them.

Exactly.

The late Justice Oliver Wendell Holmes once said, "Freedom of Speech does not give one the right to yell "FIRE" in a crowded theater."

He was, of course, right.

But what we've allowed with technology is for people to yell fire in the crowded theaters of our minds. Complete fabrications with no basis in reality are, for whatever reason, allowed to take place.

It's blatant, wanton propaganda targeting people at large under the guise of free speech.

propaganda or free speech...makes no difference when you're lying dead in the street because some fucking lunatic who should never have been allowed to have a pocket knife is allowed to amass a whole room full of guns and ammo.
ban guns? no. enact STRICT background checks, and prosecute the ever living shit out of anyone trying to get around the rules. prosecute the ever living shit out of anyone caught with an unregistered weapon. make people FULLY responsible for crimes committed with their weapon, you bought it, you're responsible for it. if it gets stolen, report it immediately, or face the consequences, which WILL be severe.
Stop the ridiculous shit that goes on in my state and many others, where any fucking moron can buy any gun at a gun show with no background check at all, no reporting at all....
until scared little people get over their fear, they will want guns, and do whatever they can to get around the rules to get them. about all that can be done is to make the penalties so severe that it serves as a deterrent to the people, because most of them would be terrified at the prospect of prison....having to face "DIFFERENT" people with no weapon?....except the shiv you made from your toothbrush, of course...

And that's it in a nutshell right there.

Here's the problem: Gun nuts don't want that because they make a lot of money selling guns they buy legally to people in private sales that can't buy them legally for an outrageous profit.

You go to a gun show and buy 50 Glock model 22's. You'll get a package deal of probably 300 bucks each. 350 tops.

Then you go home and sell them through adverts or word of mouth for 1000 dollars each.

Now, who on earth would pay 1000 dollars for a semiautomatic piston that isn't worth 450 retail?

Convicted felons, under age gang bangers and others not capable of buying one legally, that's who. And the beauty of it all? Since there are no laws regulating private sales in most of the country, there's no way to bust the people that do it.

It's the prefect crime. Literally.

If they enacted universal background checks, that would shut down the private sales market for the most part and cripple gun sales. That's why the NRA fights against it backed by every gun manufacturer on earth that sells in the U.S.

In the end, it has nothing to do with the second amendment; the only reason we don't do anything about guns is money. It's big business. Illegal big business.

Oh wait, my bad, you know how to go down and weld at the same time. Super wow. Can you unclog my toilet for me?
I know I’m impressed. Underwater welding is IMO a pretty cool career. As for being in the armed forces well that’s pretty cool as well. So you are having issues unclogging your toilet? I’m sure there are utubes you could watch.

Well underwater welders certainly get paid well, I don’t know if it’s cool or not, seems like it would suck to me. I don’t think it’s something you brag about like you’re a surgeon though. Pretty sure anybody who isn’t afraid of diving could be trained, because that’s what they do, they train them
