Hi Dan,Hello RIU,
We recently added PAR maps for our Redwood VS and 4VS models to our website (also attached here). These are 3500K models and all measurements are taken in a 4'x4' tent. Upcoming Fatty VS PAR map shortly as well.
Thanks for your support and have a good day.
Regards,
Dan
Hello @LCPGrower1980Hi Dan,
So just for clarification, in the attached images the colors represent:
Olive= 1x1 space
Bright Green= 2x2 space
Medium Green= 3x3 space
Light Green= 4x4 space
In both pictures?
Thanks. Looking to purchase the 4vs and just want to be clear about the PAR numbers.
Hi Dan,Hello @LCPGrower1980
Thanks for the clarification post. The Olive represents the center reading in both charts. The first gradation out is 12"x12" for both, the 2nd gradation is at 24"x24" for the 4VS and 30"X30" for the Redwood VS, and the 3rd gradation is at 36"x36" for the 4VS and 48"x48" for the Redwood VS.
Of note, both fixtures were mapped in a 4'x4' enclosed tent.
Let me know if you have further questions.
Have a good day.
Best Regards,
Dan
You are welcome - we recommend starting at 24-36" above seedlings/clones at 25-50% output, gradually lowering the lights to 18" above the canopy and 100% output for flowering.Hi Dan,
Thanks for that clarification.
Another question I have is whether you guys have any “best practices” materials available upon purchase (like recommended hanging heights above the canopy for seedlings/vegging/flowering or whether you instead recommend maintaining a constant hanging height but dimming the light instead and if so to what percentage)?
Thanks again.
Awesome! Thanks again! You are welcome - we recommend starting at 24-36" above seedlings/clones at 25-50% output, gradually lowering the lights to 18" above the canopy and 100% output for flowering.
The key is to start conservatively and proceed in a gradual manner. The COB lights are very intense with respect to photon output, and because they do not emit much/any IR, you are able to place them closer to the leaf surface without experiencing heat issues. Whether starting with a COB light for full cycle, or migrating to one from an HID/other style light, one should always practice a slow and gradual introduction to the COB light using height above canopy as well as the dimmer to fine tune. Growers recommend paying particular attention to the health of the leaves as well as leaf temperature when possible to do so.
Thanks again,
Dan
Not a problem - our lights are designed to work on 120, 240 and 277 VAC. Just let us know what voltage service you have in the special comments section during checkout and we will include the correct power cord style and fuse values - all of our lights will auto detect your line voltage.Awesome! Thanks again!
One more question, what type of plug does the fixture use? 120v or 240v?
Thanks again!

Hi I have many kits suitable for that space. I'd recommend a 150w with supplement or perhaps a 260w for total ppfd saturation. What have you got mate leds I’m trying to find a good LED for a 80cm x 80cm x 160 tent ?? Any help would be grate
