Did I SCROG for too long ?

Hey all,

I tried using the scrog method for the first time. I think I made the mistake continuing to tuck the branches 14 days after the 12/12 switch. I am concerned that there wont be enough verticle space for the buds to stack up.

I am now on the 23rd day since the 12/12 switch. The bud sites are only about 2.5 inches above the scrog. This is a indica dominant strain. The white hair is really starting build up and looks like the plant is in bud building mode.

Does anyone have any thoughts on my current situation? Will a plant continue to have slow verticle growth after the initial explosive stretch? Any recommendations for my future scrog grow ?

You could have probably spaced the shoots more evenly but it looks fine. How high is the light above the SCROG and what type/wattage etc?

Thanks for your reply. The canopy is about 2 feet by 3 feet in size. It's under a HLG 260w v2 3000k. 100 percent power. 20 inches above.

Keep that distance! By whatever means necessary. You should be good.

its good to worry sometimes, but nah , your plants look healthy you have done well,

No. Read the instructions from the light manufacturer. You’re at 100% power so definitely keep it high.

I use a cheap lux meter (~$20) to regulate my light height. At this stage you can probably do 55-60k at the top of the canopy. To convert to PAR (umol) you can divide the lux reading by 68, not perfect but I find it helpful.

It was in veg for 30 days. She has been lollipoped. I will get a photo when I am home tonight

I remember after I did mine I looked at a before and after pic and couldn’t believe what I had done. Seemed so wrong to hack off so much. I’m so glad I did now though. I’m on day 48 of flower so a few weeks ahead of yours. I also was in veg for twice as long due to a reveg

Wow, i did something similar bud not as many bud sites. Looked about the same as yours at that period in flower... Wait a few weeks bud, you'll be amazed at what happens. Colas all over baby!!!!
