Single DWC Air pump size needed

What size bucket?
I use 120l/min air pumps, with a manifold that can run up to 12 air lines.
From my experience I found getting a larger air pump is vital.
Plenty of air bubbles is crucial in dwc. Don’t skimp here lol.
The more finer bubbles you have, the better. I run either 2 or 3 bubblers to a single 10 litre bucket or 4 to 5 be bubblers if going big like a 40 litre bucket.
my advice, get a larger air pump with a manifold. You can add more buckets to it later on if you want, without having to buy another air pump or 2

single bucket DWC ,, so a 5 gallon bucket might have 2 or 3 gallons tops in the bottomWhat size bucket?

for a single 5 gallon bucket DWC with a single plant,, for maybe 3 gallons tops?,,,

You won’t need anything overly powerful for around 3 gallons. Just try to find smaller air stones to match a smaller pump for more pressure and finer bubbles if you go this way.

How about a single bucket diy waterfarm, with single bucket reservoir... This is single bucket grow with a reservoir using Igloos, instead of buckets, Its simpler using buckets instead of Igloos.. This thread is an example of the single Igloo plus reservoir..
I've only ever used the GH duel diaphragm pump.. It's reliable, and rebuildable using a cheap replicable diaphragm.. Not too loud either .. I've used mine for at least a dozen grows.. Have not had to rebuild it..
There's the entire grow.. The waterfarm pimp thread shows the mods..

Hey guys! I found this thread about a year ago when I very first started to dip into hydro. I knew temps were going to be a problem and decided to use a cooler from day 1. Needless to say they work fantastic and Ive never had a temp problem. I just wanted to come back and thank you guys for this...

DWC Waterloo Scrog - Recirculating Reservoir - DS-200 LED
This is my attempt to beat the summer heat using daily changed frozen water bottles... The tubing will be insulated with split foam pipe insulation when it warms up.... We've already hit 90*f on 3-28, but are dropping back into the 70*s... The igloo build can be found in my diy thread in diy...

Some air pumps can be very loud. Check the dB rating also.

thank you, i ended up with a 40 gallon tank air pump and its so quiet i cant even hear it,, whew lucked out
