Well if you will be gone for 7 days I would probably go ahead and chop them and hang them while you are gone. They would be fine going another 7 days, but without being able to keep an eye out for mold or any problems I would be hesitant to leave them myself.

I can get a pretty reliable person to look after them while I am gone. But like you said i would he hesitant to leave them as well. Would you think there will be significant differences if I leave them for another week ?

Significant is very subjective at this point. You are definitely in the harvest window now. You might get a little more weight and/or density from another week, and the high might develop a bit more.

However I don’t think you would really notice unless you had been growing this plant for a while and knew exactly what to expect in the first place :). That’s part of what makes harvest time tough for new growers. Not knowing what to expect from the plant or the smoke/high leads people to consistently harvest early because the “got high last time so it must be done”.

Thanks for your informative reply. In that case I might play it safe and harvest today. Dont want to risk a 4 months grow for minor gain.

I think that is a safe and smart call at this point. Have fun chopping and enjoy your vacation.
