Actually magnesium is best uptaken at 6.5+I’d lower your ph to about 6.0, mostly all nutrients can be processed correctly or have a good uptake @ a suitable ph. Any high than 6.5 and your asking problems with your plant only up taking certain nutrients. I’ll post a pic of a gh ph chart in about an hour here.
Most people just put it in with regular feedings. I've never had epsom salts cause any issues in my res. With every watering or once a week until they get straitened out? Does that need to be pH adjusted?
Look at your chart, 6.5 is where you wanna be for soil. The nutrients that aren't in peak are micros and aren't needed in volume.and if you were to ph your water to 6.5+your only adjusting it for magnesium. Bad idea unless your spoon feeding every nutrient single handed (by it self).
Oh no. Another newbie trying to teach Renfro. Hahaha.Look at your chart, 6.5 is where you wanna be for soil. The nutrients that aren't in peak are micros and aren't needed in volume.
Did you make the soil yourself? Any idea of ml per gallon of what was added?Well water is 80 ppm 6.7 pH 64 degrees. Soil amendments are earth worm cast, blood meal, bone meal, bat guano, oyster, kelp, alfalfa, Epsom, lime, azomite.
So what I did was soil drenched the plant in picture with 1/2 tsp. Epsom salt and sprayed another plant (wedding cake) that is exhibiting the exact same sympoms. Also there are 2 more showin symptoms and they will be left untreated until I'm sure what the issue is.
I would slurry test your mix to get an idea of what might be happening and take it from there, Roots organic soil blends are naturally low on mag and sit at slightly lower pH levels due to the nature of coco and peat, normally this isn't too much of a concern with living soil but sometimes shit happens (antagonist, temps, underwatered, excess sodium ect) and we need to figure out why.Yes i made soil at home.
