Does all cured bud turn kind of tan/brown?

So my process is to let hang dry on rack until outside is dry to touch but stems don’t snap. Then jar and put in boveda 62 for long slow cure. Noticed most of them are kind of tan/brown and not green or purples. What gives

I don't think your letting them dry enough before jarring. Do you have a hygrometer?

I don’t have a hygrometer. They feel dry and crispy before I jar though
I have a hygrometer in each jar. You can get them for around $1 a piece on EBay.

One more thought, FWIW, many growers that use the 2 way humidity packs report the boveda packs suck the odor out of their weed over time. They say the Integra boost packs don't do that.
I've been using Boveda's and I've noticed they make all my weed smell the same after awhile. I'm going to only keep the Boveda's in the jar for a month or less while I equalize the humidity and then remove them from now on, but I plan to get some Integra's though soon since they sound superior by everyone's comments. Thanks again Renfro.

No absolutely not. Only heat/light will turn bud brown. Or picking up something from the soil. Or growing garbage weed with low 2ndary metabolites (other than useless ones like thc cbn cbd etc). Or leaving the shit wet/brovida because you think that's what makes weed "dank".

Buds do change colour after a lengthy cure so I would say this is part of it. Ive had different strains all dried and cured at the same time and some went tan colour some just went lighter green. I dry my shit for two weeks and they do snap before they go in so I can't go with the too much moisture theory.

Yer i dry the same as you - awesome :-)

Weed shouldnt turn brown but it can happen - chlorophyll breakdown too advanced for me to quote but ideally the end product are green compounds.

Tobacco contains a natural chemicle that alters chlorophyll breakdown as oppose to our plant and as such it turns brown on dry/cure (i think).

Rep+ :-)
